Got rid of it this weekend. Bought an 04 SVT Focus. It's like a go kart...had some fun hitting the twisties up on Lookout Mtn yesterday...definately a change of pace.

You know Jackson Racing offers a small Eaton blower for the SVT Focus.....
HMMMMM, will the modifications ever stop? (I can't drive a factory stock vehicle...it IS a disease most gear heads have.)www.jacksonracing.com

I haven't had it up to the track here yet. But there are several guys in the SVT club out here runnin 14's lightly modded. One guy with a turbo kit is running mid 12's. It's got plenty of potential. I've seen the Jackson kit. For the SVT they boast 200 whp. The turbo kits boast up to 235 whp. I'm lookin more towards the V8 kit. Ford Racing crate motor 450 hp...all for around 16k. Not sure how much weight that would add to the little 2600lb car...but I'm sure it wouldn't matter.

I saw that 5.0 DOHC Focus from Ford...TOTALLY SICK! I LOVE IT. I've been trying to talk my brother into going halves on a similar Focus.. He wants to do a GT40 Replicar...I think just the sound of a V8 Focus would freak out all the Ricers. Hope you have alot of fun with your new ride.

Igot an 03 SVT 6000 miles.great car ,handles like non other. There is aproblem with the transmitions though, throw out bearings go byby. Ford put in an entire new trans, clutch ,etc , not even re-manufactured. The box came strait from Germany.Love the car though, that was the only problem I've had.

I've heard of the problem..some have it...some don't....I'm hoping to be in the "some don't " crowd..we'll see

Sorry you got rid of your Marauder, but at least you still kept it in the Ford family. And also helped with sales. Sales = bigger profit sharing checks, and bigger profit sharing checks = more money to buy stuff for my Marauder.

I couldn't ever own anything but a Ford...I'm glad to see my money going to such a worthwhile cause.

And it's infra red...no new black ones left in the state

Yeah, by about 4 seconds and 30 mph!:baaa:

Well, hope you have better luck with your Focus than I did with my ZX3. 7 recalls and 4 warranty repairs in two years put me in the GM camp for a while.
