Has anyone noticed a shimmy on cold tires? If the car sits for a couple of days, I get a pretty good shinny till it warms up good. I remember this from a few years ago on nylon bias ply tires. I'm running BFG KWDS.

YEP!! I kept taking my car back to get the balancing re-checked and they finally asked me....."Is it worse in the morning when they are cold?"
"Yes".......THEN they explained that the BF Goodrich's are known to do this.

I've heard this too. It seems that it would be less on a low profile tire. I wonder what a 70 series BFG tire feels like cold.

Ah, remembering the days of cold bias ply tires. In the motorhome, the first 5 miles on cold tires was similar to driving on a freshly plowed field.

This is a normal condition. 5-10 minutes at highway speeds will round 'em out. That's why its a good idea for a car to be driven for a while before attempting to balance.
