*EDIT* READ POST #7 OR OTHER THREAD FIRST!!!
Well, I was going to get service done to the car today and on my way there after already being late I saw a black (of course) Marauder in the far right lane on the otherside of the highway. "YES!" I exclaimed! NO one was around to keep me from getting to this one. I busted a quick U and lost the back end. The driver slowed down and pulled off into a hospital parking lot, and then into a doctors parking lot. I pull up along passenger side as the driver cracks the tinted windows just a little. It's a woman.
Now, I should know better with Kathy and Mary and Lynn on the site, but no, the first thing I say is "Hey, is this your husbands car!?" "NO...It's MINE" She looked offended...and I'm sorry for saying that...man that was dumb. Anyways, I have one of slowpokes cards on me in hand and I offer it too her. She's hesitant to take it "I don't know what that is"...so I explain what the card is, for the website, tell her about Indy and how I'm going Indianapolis (just to loosen things a little) and she says "Where's your Marauder?" I tell her I don't have one because I'm only 17 and I'm in my parents car. She says "ok" and I hand her the card. She looked about 30 something. NICE Marauder kept in good condition. Tinted windows.
Well, if you're out there, I'm sorry for what I asked, I met a lady a few months ago and she said it was her husbands car so I was jumping to conclusions. For the ladies already here, hassle me about it please....I deserve it!
Either way, I hope you come to the website...it's the best on the net and you'll find many cool people from around the country who share (more than likely) the same interests you do. There are also two GREAT clubs in the area for you. The Carolina Marauder's club and the Southern Marauder's club who meet in North Carolina and Georiga respectively. (ONE day I'll get them to Greenville)
