You have to force them out over the plastic of the bumper cover that will continue to hold them in place. Takes a little wiggling and a little pushing but they should come out without too much struggle.

I think you guys that pull the headlights are making it way to difficult! I replaced my bulbs with SilverStars and never removed anything but the old bulb from behind. Turn the plastic lock ring, pull the bulb out the back, put the new bulb in (through the ring) and lock it back. ;)
Just FYI. :)

I don't think it's a question of making it difficult. There just ins't enough room behind the headlight assembly to get my big hands into. Granted, I didn't need to pull them entirely out to change the lamp, but I needed more room to get my big mitts into......

For easier access, remove battery on pass side. Drivers side is much easier and only requires dexterity and concentration.

Yeah, that's me, too. Way too clumsy to do it with the assembly in place. Decided it was just easier to pull the whole thing out. But for those of you that have actual motor-reflex skills I say go for it. Me? I woulda dropped the lamp. :)

Yep, this procedure worked for me too. Mind you, my fingers and my hands are small so getting into tight spaces is no problem.

This job is right down my alley. My installation met with disasterous results. The easiest way to pull out your head light is to losen up your side marker lights a little bit. The head lights sould come out a little easier. In my case I didn't and ended up cracking my passenger side marker. Trust me the is the way to go.

Well...when one removes the left headlight at every track day...you learn quick.
I have got it down to where I can do it in the dark now.

There's always that! I wonder if there is a way to snake a tube up to the cold air intake from below rather than pulling the light. During test&tune here at CFR when the sun goes down they want you to run with your lights on.
