Installed and dyno tuned for the Pro-M MAF today.

First, did baseline with OEM MAF and airbox. Several things had been changed since my last tune, so a comparison to old data was not very useful. Then the Pro-M was installed and another pull made. AFR was checked on both pulls.

OEM hp=283.5, tq=293.4, AFR=12.5-13.0
Pro-M hp=293.7, tq=202.0, AFR=12.5-13.0
edit: (correct that, should be 292.0 instead of 202.0)

So the bolt-on of the Pro-M gave me 10 hp and did not lean out the mixture to do it.

Then tuning was done and we got a whopping 303 RWHP, beating my previous best of 297 RWHP by 6 hp.

So the Pro-M has proven to me that it is worth 6-10 hp. and it does not hurt the idle, mixture, or drivability of the car to just bolt it on and go.

The sound of your car on the dyno was awesome! Must be your setup, which for those who don't know includes Kooks headers (just the headers), and other componants including Basani (sp?).

Nice numbers.

Are you comfortable with that much power and a 13.0 AFR? Is the 13.0 AFR at part throttle?

I have to trust my tuner. I have seen people post numbers from 12 to 14 and not break anything so I'm not sure what the best answer is. I did ask him to set it to 12.5 in the beginning and he said "really? well if that's what you want I can do it" so I asked him what he would normally recommend. He said he generally shoots for 13.0 and hasn't had any problems with that setting. So I had him set it for 13.0 instead.

I have had the 80mm Pro-m on my Trilogy car for a few months now with nothing but good results. I posted originally that the 80 mm is the best size from Lidios testing of several units. There are absolutely no drivability issues and it ran great from the start. I believe it yielded better results on the supercharged car, if i remember correctly it was 18 or 20 at the wheels.

Corrected the original, should have been 292 tq, virtually no difference. Thanks for keeping me straight.

1000th post!
