Finally over 300 RWHP.
Latest dyno sheet posted, 303 RWHP, 318.5 RWTQ. That's it for power adding, if I want more with N/A I'll have to change cams (per Aric, my tuner at Team Ford) otherwise I gotta have a blower or bottle. I think it's a great torque curve, over 250 from 1500 rpm up, 300 from 3800 to 5200.

Funky shifting is fixed too. Feels great!

I have a question for you. Now please don't take this the wrong way. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, and I do appreciate your enthusiasm for your car, since I can relate to that as a fellow Marauder owner......
How is it that they were able to do the dyno test beginning from as low as 1500 RPM's? Was this dyno pull done in second gear? Because that would be the only way that I know of that you can hammer the throttle down at such a low RPM w/out the transmission downshifting. And I've been told that they cannot allow it to downshift during the Dyno run, since that would cause a torque spike that would NOT give an accurate reading.
Please explain.

Umm... I don't like answering questions that are meant for other people, but I'll take a stab at this one.
Billy - when my car was dyno'd at DR's shop, he kept all of the custom tune in it, but locked the TC and ran the car through it's revs in 3rd gear only. Started out slow, then mashed the pedal and ran it to the limit.

But locking the torque converter isn't going to prevent the transmission from downshifting while hammering down on the gas pedal at merely 1500 RPM's in third gear, is it? This is a sincere question. No sarcasm intended.

Great numbers, Brian. Sorry I couldn't stay around until they got to your car. Enjoyed Breakfast with everyone.

He doesn't hit the throttle until 2,500rpm., Maybe the SCT software can lock out the downshift?
There is no downshift power spike on your dyno graph.
the pcm can be manipulated to not downshift under wot, and you can do 3rd gear pulls no sweat. just remember to change it back when your done.

Yep, he modifies the program to not downshift and to lock the torque converter and flashes the chip (not the PCM, although the way Jerry does it is with the PCM) then re-installs the chip and does a pull. Makes adjustments to timing and fuel tables, falshes the chip again, re-installs it and pulls again. When all the engine management tweaks are done, he does the tranny adjustments and flashes the chip then re-installs it for a test drive on the road. If it needs more tranny adjustments, it is flashed and re-installed again for another road test.

Glad you made it to breakfast. 2 in one month!
I believe we have all the shifting problems worked out now. The last little gremlin was the torque converter clutch unlock/lockup when cruising in od when you let off then get back on the throttle (like in 70-80 mph heavy traffic). Aric fixed it on Merc's car by keeping the torque converter locked up until the downshift to 3rd.

It sounds like I'm going to have to visit the in laws down in Macon so I can get my car tuned at Team Ford! Nice work FN!

Good numbers man...looks like it's you and me now...:P
I figure it's all about the tune now. I had the t/c issue fixed last week as well. I pull through all gears nicely now. I ran at the track this past friday and saw no improvements in times. This track however, is really bad, and Norwalk is just too busy.
We should have fun in Indy as long as the track is treated. You and I should be matched up quite nicely!

Congradulations! 300 rwhp is my goal as well. I'm at 278 and am getting ready for exhaust mods. After you reach a certain point, it's kind of like eating an elephant, one bite at a time. The first few mods give large gains and then with later mods, it's a little at a time.
