I just bought my 04 MM on JUly 12th. Was i supposed to get a leather jacket or something??

Wait about a month or so more. You should get a card in the mail.

I got my Marauder on the 3rd of June and I am still waiting for my card.The people at Stu Evens here in the Detroit don`t seem to committed on following up on there customers.Plus I like a few others on this site have a loud "chirp"when the air compresser kicks on(about every 40 seconds)and my service rep tells me this is normal.So I am going to Indy and have a good time and when I get back we will have a GO at it agian.

I just got off the phone with my sailsmen now he tells because I got the car A-Plan I would not get a leather.Anyone heard of this.

Dealers have told members that befor, only thing on their end they need to do is put in the computer that the car was sold. The dealership is not the ones that send out the postcard. But if you think something is amiss, call Beanstalk Group 1.800.613.3905 they are the ones that handle the jackets.

Just got off the phone with beanstalk and they told me that Mercury now only sends info to them once a month insted of once a week and they want me to wait two months befour calling,Seeing thats only one week away I can wait.Something just don`t seem right with all this.

there are many salespeople that claim to know the product and do not- that is
inexcusable and all dealers with such people need to be made aware of this
the card for the jacket comes from ford motor- not the dealer

Look up previous threads. In one of them, someone listed a Mercury 1 800 number.
I called that number and the operator knew everything about the jacket and sent me my jacket.

They to wait at least until mid August to receive the ordering card. Then if no card, call them again. They said, A) the dealers are slow sending the new owners names to Mercury, and, B) Same as per above comments, they said Mercury used to send the info via computer download every week. But now they just send it one a month. So my biggest fear would that all of sudden Mercury would say "the cars out of production, so no more jackets"! Auto makers have done that type of thing before. But the Beanstalk people say not to worry about that. They assure all buyers will get their MM jackets!

Wow, we get a jacket with the car? I ran across another guy in a Marauder the first day I drove my car and he mentioned something about it.. we were yelling across trafic at each other.. but I thought he was pulling my leg.
Then I figured maybe he had a '03 before they were de-contented.
Glad I check this site.. otherwise I would have been oblivious.

I'm going to call my sales guy tomorrow. I'm lucky, this guy & dealer really jumped through hoops to get me a 04 DTR.

I have called a half a dozen times. They tell me they sent me a card 3 different times, I have yet to see one. They finally just asked my size and said they would sent it, still have not gotten anything, going on 7 mos. now.
The jacket won't make up for a crappy paint job anyway.

Bought my MM on May 11,04. Got the card June 15,04. Got the jacket July 14, o4.
I did have to remind my salesman about the jacket, though. What a shame. If I ever sold cars I'd be absolutely head and shoulders above the rest.

So is it a decent jacket or is it worth what you paid for it? what does it look like? just curious. I guess ill have to see if i get a card in the mail.

It's a decent jacket. I enjoyed wearing mine last winter. I should reiterate that the salesmen have nothing to do with the jackets. It's not surprising that most of them are unaware of this freebie. Everything happens above their level. Most buyers are surprised when they get the card. In-the-know buyers (members here) get all upset about slow/non delivery. Although you would never guess it from reading this board, Lincoln Mercury now has higher customer satisfaction than Toyota, Honda, and BMW.
