I was driving along.. long stretch of road two lanes in either direction with a barrier down the center. Speed Limit's 50 but most folks do around 65 on this road.
There're 3 stop lights on this road .. they're each about a half mile apart.
Light 1- I'm behind 2 or three cars .. blah blah.. listening to the radio.
Light changes.. I work my way around some of the traffic and end up in the pole position in the right hand lane.
Light 2- I'm sitting in the right hand lane as the light changes.. and a white used Toyota Camry blows by in the left lane doing about 70. Mr Accelerator Petal meet Mr Floorboard.. I caught up to him while still in the right lane.. then (since the light was comming up and there was a car in my lane) moved in behind him and just stalked 'em. Saw him check his rearview and notice the antenae on my roof.. he downshifted right away, then coasted to the light.
Light 3- Camry takes off fairly mildly he has dealer plates on the car and I figure it's a test drive (he's playing it safe thinking I'm a state police unmarked). We still managed to pull right away from the caravan in the right lane, so i goosed it and let him hear my Baby say "RAWR" as I passed him.
"Not much of a kill", i think to myself. Still, the shmuck knows who's got the hotter car. I was pretty much done with him at this point, so I backed off the throttle and let her coast down from 80ish as I went uphill over a drawbridge. I was still doing around 60 in a 45 when I came over the top of the bridge, and the jackazz in the Camry blows by me doing at least 80.
I'd proven my point already, so I just let him go. Lucky for me too.. at the bottom of the hill leading away from the drawbridge was a local cop waving the Camry off to the side. I'm thinking he was interested in his reason for doing 80ish in a 45. He waved at me as I cruised on by

Not trying to hijack here, but reminds me of this guy earlier this weekend in an Impala who kept teasing me. Went like this:
My buddy Taylor: James...you know you want to
Me: No, not really
Taylor: Yeah, this is where you got pulled over last time, our luck and you'll see a...COP!
Me: HAHAHA...I knew I shouldn't have!
Taylor: Ok, cop is gone now...you know you want to.
But that's funny, guy in a Camary! HA! What a LOOSER. Even the "fast" ones are slow....And ugly. They can put all the rims and areodynamic toys on there they like...still a camary.

I saw a Camry one time... maybe an 2001 or 02... 4 door... V6, 5 speed with a TRD (Toyota Racing Division) dealer-installed supercharger... some of the "fast" ones really are fast!

Last week I blew through a speed trap in the community where I live. I was only about 10 MPH over the limit, but they are usually very strict. The officer was in an unmarked Impala SS. We were only a car length from each other when he got me with his radar gun. After he had pinged me he lowered the gun, smiled and waved to me. I guess he thought I was another unmarked car.

Had a similar experience back in early June. Was going home late from CG duty, just getting up onto I-55 through South City. Next to me is an 18-wheeler; the other side of him is a Camaro/Neon Squirt-4 playing hi-speed footsie with each other. I was in a peevish mood anyway---we'd had a boarding go bad that day, and that's why I was leaving work late---so I tromped it, and like Brooks and Dunn said, "let the horses run!" The three of us cleared the front of the trucker together; the Squirt-4 saw black and 4 doors, and lifted off. The Camaro musta figured he had him, and took off. I charged off after him; caught him 1/4 mile later and gave him the "trooper swoop".
Next thing I see is brake lights; the nose of the Camaro dives so hard it almost digs up pavement...and a beer can goes flying out the passenger side window and into the weeds. I rode his tail for about two exits, and then figured I'd let him off the hook. CYA, bowtie boy! He wasn't as dumb as that Camry guy tho...never did speed up to pass me...
