So what is the process to empty the old oil out of the cooler and lines to the remote filter? Just leave the old stuff in?

Pretty much. I have a Petcock valve with AN fittings if you really wanted to drain the few oz's in the cooler at any one time...

Any special skills/tools to install one of these? Best place to purchase and price? Thanks.

To do it properly, it took a bit of engineering as there isn't exactly a pre-fabbed kit out there to accomplish the job. When I get a chance, I'll post up how I put mine together and what I used... It works great and best of all, no leaks. :)

Thanks Logan. I believe that Amsoil had a kit at one time. Don't know if it would work for our MMs though.

Any chance of putting a 'kit' together?
Thanks,

I think Logan is probably on the road to Indy. I sent him a PM this morning to ask about what he did to "engineer" the system into his car. He hasn't answered yet so I imagine he is on the road.
I believe the kit he acquired is a derivative of this one;

I think he ordered only the remote full flow kit and not the dual remote kit. One Bad 03 MM has a dual remote kit on his.
Contact me via PM, or via my website at www.lubedealer.com/dstevens with any questions. Discounts are available for MM.net members

I got the Perma-Cool remote single filter relocator from Jeg's. I mounted it on the drivers side frame rail. It catches cool air from the radiator and the underside. In rush-hour traffic my oil temp runs 15 degrees cooler (right at 180 now, at 195 before).

My temps are down from 230 degree's to 195 degree's. A 35 degree drop, which was perfect for me...
I'll be putting a write up on my setup online after indy. Don will be able to supply the members with the necessary "stuff" to do a professional installation, none of this ghetto barb-fitting crap that comes in most kits I've seen. Mine is all -8 AN from front to back...
