I figured it wouldn't be long before someone brought this up, so I decided to start it!

My choice is Texas. :coolman: Yeah,.. MV1 was here, but it would be soooo easy for me to attend! j/k

West Coast perhaps?

Since you're being "bias", :banned: I think MVIII should be down here in the southeast, the big ATL, or Atlanta, GA. I know I can make that one.

Since Bristol was second to Indy...that seems logical.

Far to early to speculate on this one it would seem. In the meantime I would encourage the regional clubs to try and tie events in with the local IMOA region where possible. Most of them aren't into racing their classic Mercs but they do put together quite a few shows. All of us here know what a sight it is when there are a group of Marauders owners gathered together and the crowd it will draw. The enthusiasm of Marauder owners and IMOA Classic owners can only be a positive light for Mercury to make more attempts at giving us great cars like the Marauder in the future. Is there anyone here that would like to see that?
Go Mercury............ Go Marauder!

Oh...My...God... People. Please. Y'all are wearin' me out. :)

I'm not even going to THINK about MVIII until January. So don't bother asking until then.

For the rest of the year, the organizers and myself are taking a MUCH needed break from organizing ANYTHING. ;)

I vote Cedar Falls, Iowa. Then I might be able to go. :D

There's room for 100 Marauders I'm sure.

Why not get some Kicks out of Route 66, goes through a few states, pick a place to go meet while taking a Marauder Power Tour :burnout:

I can honestly say that wherever it is I will be there. I do know that next year the IMOA event will be in Kalamazoo Mich. Even if we don't hook up with them some of our guys will attend their event. IMOA welcomed us with open arms so we have to show our support too. I will just have to do both events. Please make sure there is no conflict in scheduling.

Even though I think Atlanta is a good idea, I think MVIII should be in Detroit.

You have a strong local group.

Ford/Mercury is there, so maybe we could get a tour or get take our cars on the proving track, or get to meet some more of the team that created the MM.

The AWESOME Henry Ford Museum is there.

Trilogy is there.

Alternative Auto is there (and could offer up dyno runs, chip burns, etc)

And some of the more unusual MM's run around that town (exotic paint, wheels, etc.) Get the word out and maybe some of those owners will show up with their cars.

Yeah - I'm liking that a whole lot! I've ALWAYS wanted to drive what's left of rt. 66! The logistics could be a nightmare, but if any group of people could pull it off, it would be the group on this site!

Let me first say that I absolutely appreciate that everyone had a great time and that they're looking forward to a repeat event.

BUT. You know, this is how people ended up getting pissed off that MV 2 wasn't in Bristol, by making assumptions, plans and jumping up and down WAAAAAAAAAAAAY to far ahead of when we had ever actually announced anything.

Let it go folks. When there's a location decided, if it's decided, it'll be announced 5-6 months from now. I, along with others that absolutely busted our ass for y'all need some serious R & R.

Unlike last year, if there is a MV III, the location won't be open for debate.
