...all of us!

There were a half-dozen or so Impala SS that showed up early for the drags on Friday...one had "If you can read this, you must be driving a M'Rotter" written in big letters on the back window...so I think "OK, we haven't even started and this guy's already an a-hole"...

Well, it turns out he's not...he put in a very good showing (don't have his stats, someone else might?) and even came to the KB BBQ, where he walked away with 3 (I think) awards. I spoke with him, and he told me that if he'd had any idea how well he would be treated by us, he'd never have written that in his window...

So I say: "Way to go!" to all the participants at MVII...we had a lot of fun, made some new friends, and even showed that we have some class...

I don't care what they say about us over on the Impala boards, I think we "full-bodied" types (the CARS, not the people... ) have to stick together and support each other. At the IMOA banquet, Steve Babcock so much as said there won't be any more RWD sedans from FLM in the future...so next time you pass an SS, wave with more than one finger, K? :D

I have to agree with RF. The Impala guys at MVII where good folk who just happen to have the benefit of more "cubes" under the hood. I must say their cars sound great coming off the line and these guys seem to like our cars as much as we do.

Hey, Garage: How's that dyno-tune working out? I hope it was worth the wait...

Agreed, RF. That came through very clear in the posts and the banquet photos. Marauderers have class and sportsmanship ... and even a few "full bodies" ( of which I might resemble that remark).

So far I love the tune. I didn't expect to feel it as much as I do. I still need to get some city driving done to see how the transmission is shifting but all seems good.

I just left 15 feet of rubber in my driveway by punching the gas where I used to only leave 15 inches at best ! :D :D :D :burnout:

There is a link in my signature to the dyno sheets.

I love this car :banana2:

As an Impala guy I'm impressed by the fact that you guys treated them so well and I don't think it was lost on the ones that showed up. In fact the one that got most of the trophies was uncharacteristically shy to even speak of his very strong showing on our boards. I certainly never expected him to do so well and I quietly warned him that your cars would surprise him if he expected to dominate the drags. I guess it prompted him to pull out the stops to represent.

Anyway, you guys are a class act and I'm glad to hear that the Impala folks were respectful in return!
