Hi All,
I am in the market for a Silver Birch '04 Marauder and have been visting this site for a couple weeks now to do the research. I am the owner of a '96 Mustang Cobra Convert and am parting with my '98 Contour SE Sport in favor of the MM for a daily driver. I just wanted to pass on a thanks to all those who post the valuable info to help others get started and plan their purchase (future mods too!).
I hope to have a car by the end of the month and will report back with any good news. I am in the La Crosse WI  area and have seen only 2 Marauders so far up here in the last 2 years. Probably because there isn't a Lincoln/Merc dealer within 50 miles. In any event, knowing there is a user community out here like this one really bolsters my confidence in making this decision. You guys rock!
Thanks again,
SmokeyBurnout (aka Mike )

Mike: Welcome to the board. Hope your purchase goes smoothly. I don't think you'll go wrong with the MM as a draily driver. I traded a '99 Cobra vert for mine and haven't regretted the change. Of course being older and wiser (cough, cough) might have had something to do with it. NAW! Just needed more room for my behind and the things I carry with it.....If you check my signature, you'll see the mileage I have to date on the car....
Again, Welcome!

Brown's Lincoln Mercury in Fairfax, VA has an '04 Silver Birch w/ charcoal interior (and a moon roof, I think). One of the sales managers has been driving it and it had 3,650 miles as of last Saturday. Could be able to get a really good deal. Unfortunately, the car is in Virginia (...but the ride back to Wisconsin should be a nice break in trip -- for you -- not the car).

Thanks all for the warm welcome and locations of cars. I have found a half dozen in the Chicago area (one dealer has over 10 units on his lot and might be willing to part with one cheaper). I also found a used silver '04 with 20k miles on it and I got to drive it, which is now why I am hooked. He wants $23500 for it and I am tempted even at that price. I had a quote for a brand new '04 for $26003 last week but that price has gone up some. So now I am on the fence about new/used. The search continues...
Thanks,

smokey - For the $2,500 difference I would go for a new Marauder. With 20K on the odometer the warranty is more than 1/2 over. Good luck.

Isn't there a dealer in Michigan with 49 MM on his lot? Still a drive, but closer than some of the others.
