Hello Marauders
Ordered mine in September, finally picked it up today! Been a wonderful if frustrating 5 months lurking on the site - this is the classiest group of people and vehicle owners I have ever come across. What a car to love! I have been waiting for someone to produce this vehicle since 1977. Now I can have carbonated hormones with the rest of you people who enjoy the power, presence, and potential of the Marauder!
Thanks to all who have posted their issues and answers, anyone can be prepared for a great purchase and making their car more than they started with. Also, thanks to Mr. Logan McLeod for running a clean site.
Anyone else need to re-order when the "Job 2" came around, as was mentioned in some previous threads? Mine had an "unbuildable error" so I needed to reorder last week in October, and didn't find out until later some of the option content had changed. TC is a bonus, but I would've liked the heated seats. Seems most of you went for the deal and bought off the lot.
All the best at 300 plus HP and Ft-lb.
Scott
PS Some of you already know me, I had a bit part in the 2000 Sable adjustable pedals commercial a couple years back...thanks to my better 3/4ths, who made that feature standard in FoMoCo products years before the competition, including our MMs. (So, lay off the Sable jokes, guys! Just kidding)

Congratulations on the car!
I don't understand your "unbuildable error"
Are you saying you ordered heated seats but didn't get them?

Welcome Scott! Did you get the BLACK or blue MM? You gotta love the car. It's even better with the chip and gears!

Congrats and welcome, seabreeze...
Wow, you ordered in Sept and just got it NOW?
I know how badly that sucks...I ordered my T-bird on Nov. 2nd of '93, and it arrived on March 12th of '94.

I feel the same Scott...I am a member of another forum and lurk on a couple more, and I agree with both statements 100%...
Logan McLeod...that would be a GREAT name for a Private-Eye TV show...he could live in Vegas and drive a Marauder instead of a '57 T-bird...OOPS, that's been done. Or he could live in Boston and drive a Marauder instead of a '67 Mustang Fastback...DAMN, that's been done, too... oh, well...it's STILL a cool name for a TV show... :D

On the topic of "new" MM's, I just went up to the dealer to talk to them about my seat situation. They had their first BLUE MM! OMG, I couldn't stop laughing, then after I stopped laughing, I felt like puking! That is SO LAPD! I don't think it'll be mistaken around here though, we have no Vics that are THAT blue! And the seats! They look so bland! But, I must say, they "appear" softer, due to the color. NOT this cars intended image...
Let's play nice LML..."different strokes..."

RF,
How about a show about a cop, living in Hawaii, and driving a big black four door Mercury... Guess that's been done too but supposedly a remake movie is in the works.. McGarrett in a MM...?:D

Thanks for the feedback, Marauder folk. Mine's BLACK, in true Batman / Darth Vader / Zorro fashion.
RCSignals, the "unbuildable error" came when they changed the PEP option code in October - I ordered the original "300A" package to the Grand Marquis to create a Marauder per the order guide instructions, but they revised it to "300B" midstream, and I had to cancel my first order, then reorder.
It was well worth the wait, I gave it a bath today, and can't find a flaw anywhere. What a smooth power under light acceleration, and I found out today that life begins above 35 MPH with a little more right foot. WOW...I've had a 2001 Town Car, and a 1993 Cr. Vic both with the suspension, exhaust and rear end packages, but there is NO comparison. If it's this good stock, I am afraid where I will go after talking to Mr. Reinhart!:bows:

seabreeze: Welcome! Your right there is nothing like it! My MM is still turning heads when I go for a ride. Never get tired of the basic question "what is it?" Put remote start on and see the differance it can make. Every day is like summer in the snow covered northeast. (well the inside anyway) Have fun with it and enjoy.

Well, DAMN...don't know how I could have missed that one...was McGarrett's car a Monterey or a Montclair?

Thanks, Macon...
It's a shame the way Hollywood treats cars, but I'm glad someone was able to save a little piece of it...too bad it was trashed, but looks like that guy put a LOT of work into it...
