I headed back to the local 1/8 mile track here in Mount Vernon. It was a little cooler so I expected some improvement.
First run was 10.2 and change. Then the planets aligned I had what had to be a close perfect run the second time.
Second run time was 9.985 at 72.70 mph. My MM is totally stock and my reaction time was .686. Apparently a .5 reaction at this track is perfect. If you have a reaction under .5 you red light. I learn something new every time I go there.
This is the most fun you can have with your clothes on for $10.00. I am hooked. I used to take my bike and run 7.2 easily but I get 3 to 4 times the run with a car. Bang for the buck fun!

Isn't it fun! That equates to a low 15 1/4. Is it a Sportsman Tree or a Protree? How many yellow lits?

Rob, all it takes is once, and your hooked, huh?

To compare, I have run a 9.985 @ 72.49 while on my way to running 15.256 @ 93.22. This was with a 2.290 for my 60' time. What was your 60'?

My 60 time was 2.333 but the reaction was .725.

My 60 time was 2.333 but the reaction was .725.Depending on your local track, a perfect reaction time may (or may not) be a .500 Your reaction time doesn't feed into the overall time (either 1/8, or 1/4). It is really only used to measure the driver's capabilities, not the car ;)

That 60-foot seems to be about the average, but, while I haven't managed it yet, I think that a low 2.2xx or 2.1xx is possible, in stock form... Rule of thumb is that every .1 in the 60" is equal to .15-.2 in the 1/4.
