Now this could bring some lively discussion.
I was wondering what gender (male or female) everyone's MM is ?
What pet name do you have for your car?

ok ok...so maybe it was a dumb question. ........ LOL

I find myself describing my MM to others as One Bad Boy.
So now family calls the car Bad Boy.

I knew I shoulda asked a technical question....... :D

I've honestly never understood why do many cars refer to their cars as "female." I've never once felt any of my cars or trucks had a feminine personality, but my wife used to drive a Golf and her sister had a Neon & I think those are both feminine cars.

Well...my MM is "My Girl." Why? No need to bore you all with the details, but is has a lot to do with high "seat of the pants" enjoyment at the drop of the hat, and very low argument and indecision over anything short of snow. Go figure...

Black Bart II

My 90 Mustang 5.0 was Black Bart. The name came from a friend of mine when we worked on my car. He always busted a knuckle, once got shocked (still not sure how he did that), or something was happening to him. We could work on his car and he would not get hurt. So he started calling it Black Bart, so I thought I would continue the tradition.

Guess I have no imagination. My car(s) have no gender and no names. Unless you count the real name, or a shortened version of it. Like 'Rauder for Marauder or 'Stang for Mustang...

Mine's definately feminin, as are all my cars. My MM is named Melita (reason behind that...). The 66 is Eloise and the 79 is LeAnn.

One of my employees, a 50ish woman, came up to me this moring and asked "so, what's her name?" I told her I hadn't given the Girl a name and she said "I'll find you one." Seems she always names her cars, after women, something she picked up from her father.

I have the feeling many of us here, are not telling on themselves...

I guess my car is an alien. That’s because the license plate reads MIB II, for those that have not seen the movie you should check it out. I should have contacted Will Smith about the using the Marauder instead of the Mercedes 600. One of his major completes about the Mercedes was the autopilot was originally a black male and would pulled over too often. Well, Mr. Smith I have had that problem resolved on the Marauder for over 6 months. In the next couple of months I will have this car Afro American certified in most major cities. This could boost sale in the winter months !!!

In NJ, my black T-Bird was called BLCK BRD (Black Bird). After I moved to Virginia 6 months ago, it was re-named JRSY BRD because I was still running back & forth to NJ every other weekend (thank you, Delaware and Maryland, for those speeding tickets). When I traded the Bird in for the Marauder, I got new plates. Now my Marauder's plate reads MARAUDA to show we're still true to our Joisey roots!

See that? Women get it too! Special things in our lives get named!

Like I said before, a lot of us are not fessing up on this...IMHO.

OK Sarg, as you have seen many times I refer to the car as "Bad Boy" but I'll fess up. After the first day with car I did muse about what might be a fitting name for this new ride of mine.

Not that I had to give it a name but seemed to deserve one! I have been calling "Her" Tina!!!
Rollin, Rollin, Rollin on the river. I always loved her version a lot more the CCR's and to see her (perform it) was to love her.

Okay...I'm telling on myself here. I did something really stoopid this morning.

I drive my Girl to the office, and shortly after arriving, I learn that a snow storm is headed my way. After only a few moments at my desk, I grab my jacket and leave out to drive my Girl back home, and switch to my beater wheels.

The forecast I relied upon was so nice before I left home...But, that turned out to be a Weather Channel replay tape. Accuweather.com on my desktop, truthfully, harbored a warning.

So, I get back to my office in relatively short time, just to get caught anyway.

This "50ish woman" I quoted above, who wants to "name" my car, steps into my office just as I was trying to tidy up my half hour duck. She blurts out "Baby" and I'm like WTF..."Baby, Sarge, she's your baby, who else could get you to run out of here like that?"

I stumble over my excuse. "Well, ya know, it's not the just snow, but all that salt...And those idiots who don't know left foot from right on slick pavement and..."

"Yeah, okay, it's okay Sarge" she says. I know."

Okay, so, yeah, I 'm caught. Maybe my Girl is my Baby afterall, so what. What...

I didn't really believe everyone was watching me thisclose while I'm trippin on my MM thingy, but I suppose they have been having some fun with me over her, and that's okay. Better they see that I do have some heart, than believe I have none at all.

The storm got here all right, and I am lightly snowbound right now, It's still comming down, tomorrow's drive in should be...interesting?

So...what y'all out here name your MM, eh?

My last two Vics had or carried the same name plate on the front tag space--"Bell and Whistles"=

Dealer transferred that "tag" to the front of my new MM , but family and me too don't quite find that to be a fitting name for this car.,.although the "Bells..." tag is still on the MM...All in the family refer to the MM as the "Rauder" but am still not convinced that that is truly going to be her "Name" ---- the only real reason the Bells tag is on their --it's in silver writting on black background and goes well with the car..
on black

so....the true identify is still in question at this house!!

If Mercury gets going and builds me a supercharged one SHE'll be" Sweet Loraine",after the song by the same name.
I name all my vehicles,my Harleys, too, heck I name my trucks at work and have even named a couple of firearms that were very special to me. My son thinks I'm nuts, but he does refer to my vehicles by name. My newExpedition is " LARGE MARGE",my current cement truck at work is "Shake and Bake".
Ask me about "Lucille" sometime.

Well, around here it's known as "Jim's Folly" :) , although a co-worker's three year old calls it the "dark black" car...

I don't normally name cars - but the daily driver I bought so that I could garage the MM on snow days (in Michigan that's from like Nov 1 to May 1 ;) ) is called the "Sneeze".

It's a Hyundai, and if you say it really fast....

My wife also names all our cars. However, I named our Marauder. It is called ABBADON and it's a 'he'.

I don't have an offical name for my MM but she is a girl.

I know what my wife called her when she hit passing gear at 45 mph for the first time!

She said "Jesus Christ"!
