OK, OK....so Dan (mercman) has been dying to do this for some time..he has prompted me to start a thread for a chicken run yet this month. Any interest in doing this Sunday August 22nd? This way it doesn't interfere with Peters' plans for Madison next month.

I thought this tread was about chicken. You know Popeye’s, Churches, KFC , Peruvian, and Chick-fil-a. Someone contact the Sheriff, someone has illegally hi-jacked this tread and caused me to be hungry. :argue:

Lynn:

Thanks for taking the WI meet into consideration.
The wife and I will be coming back from a trip to Louisville, KY on Sunday.
If the timing is right and we get thru OK, we may stop by the Chicken place for a late lunch.

OK, OK.... ...... Sunday August 22nd? This way it doesn't interfere with Peters' plans for Madison next month.

Not to get off subject, just FYI:
The WI meet will be on September 19th, 2004 in Madison, WI.
Plan on a 1pm lunch at a place tbd.
I will start a separate thread for this.

Thanks,

Peter

Chicago is not witness friendly, John, but you're welcome to slide over. Since you may be the only adult on the scene, are you ready for that culpability?

It's mostly just a friendly meet at a local restaurant that has some history behind it. "Del Rea's Chicken Basket" is a roadhouse planted right on old
Route 66. The actual pavement is still there, though it does not lead anywhere after I-55 was built.

We started meeting there over two years ago, and mostly because of it's central location to most Windy City members. Chicken, burgers, beer and burnouts, need I say more? Anytime one of us wants to get together, all they have to post is "I smell chicken..."

We do move our meets around the area from time to time, just to disrupt any crime pattern, and ward off the local possee. You're welcome to join us James, but you'll have to cut the sleeves off that new Marauder jacket.

Note to everyone involved

Just don't engage in crap that you know damn well is just going to get deleted anyway.

Put all your damn ego's away when you show up here. Is it that hard to show each other and ME a little darned respect? God, my 2 year olds don't give me anywhere near this kind of grief, and when they do, I just hand them a different toy and wa-la, problem solved.

So what? Anyone want this here Dancin' Elmo or what?

Maybe if you had a tickle me elmo, but you only have the dancing elmo.....

I have the Tickle me Elmo too, but one of the kids is kinda attached to it and would most likely notice it's disappearance.

My son is partial to the Hokey Pokey (no relation) Elmo.... It cracks me up too.

Logan, next time you decide to delete a bunch of posts, could you let me know so I could go look at it first? I seem to miss all the good stuff!

I think I can put aside our differences in the hopes of meeting the others worth meeting! Is that adult enough?

Besides, I LIKE chicken!

The trick to it is to check the site before 7am. I usually don't check it until then. So if stuff happens overnight, it'll most likely still be online until about 7...

Now, Carry-on before I'm forced to moderate myself for this off-topic aberration.

Just wait logan eventually toys won't work either. I'll try to make it but after missing out on MMII and racing at Ginerman I have finally squeezed in an event - Woodward so I'm going there Friday and coming back either Saturday night or Sunday morning. Anyone else from chitown going to this?
