Okay ladies and gents, this is subject to interpretation between your eye and mine on the tach and speedo. I used a handheld gps to verify speed. The car has 4.10's installed with 225/70 16 tires on the rear. I used crusie control to maintain a set speed or rpm.

RPM Speedo GPS reading
1500 ......... 42 .......... 42
2000 ......... 58 .......... 57
2250 ......... 66 .......... 65
2450 ......... 70 .......... 71
2500 ........ 73 .......... 72
2550 ......... 75 .l........ 74

Trip to DC and retuirn Thursday running 70 - 75 somtime 80 with traffic. Round trip from gas pump to gas pump (same station) 255.1 miles. Took 12 gals to fill and I shake the car to get added fuel in. Got
21.2 MPG during this trip.

That should give all you fence setters some food for thought about the gears. The car is so much more fun to drive.........

Guys:

Brought this back to the top, as RCSignals made a comment about the accuracy of the speedometer. As can be seen, my MM's speedo is within his +/-1 MPH verified with a GPS unit. This is with the stock tires. Haven't verified it with the winter tire package yet.

So the 4.10 gears don't change the speedo reading??

You have to run a chip programmed for the 4.10's or yes, your speedo will be out by about 8-10mph
