I've been wanting to eat at one of these places ever since many of you guys posted how much fun you had dining there on the way to the first Marauderville in Texas!
On my trip back from VA today I finally stopped in one, and WOW, what great food!
I came out so full, I couldn't breathe...

nope, exit 49B off I78 in PA...
I've been salivating over them after I saw their logo on every other service area sign to and from VA... but heading back in PA with heavy downpours, lots of road construction, lane closures and some flooding, I pulled off the highway to wait the rain out... turned out to be a good move.
althought I got a call during my breakfast from my dad who suggested I stop at the beach where the weather was perfect which I did.... a few minutes later the sky fell down. My parents and sister were very pissed that I brought the rain along with me. lol

--Russ ;) Two things among the many wonderful dishes the Cracker Barrel serves, for breakfast, is a delicious ham and hash brown bake. They only make up a limited amount, so go early. Also their pancakes are the absolute best I've eaten since I was a child (I'm 56 yo). And after the great food, you and your family can snoop in their general store. My wife and mother-in-law love that. My only complaint is that there are no Cracker Barrels close to Chicago or the northwest suburbs. I have to drive out to the Elgin area to find one. But then I'll get to drive my '04 MM...what am I complaining about!

Well I must be a "Redneck" because I eat a CB everytime I go to East Texas and that is every weekend. Me and my old lady cant stay out of the store area at all. Then when Christmas rolls around they have the best ornaments in the world.

Sheriff,
I made that trip up and down I-81 alot when my son was in school in Lexington (VMI). Cracker Barrel was one of our favorite stops as was the Texas Steakhouse right next door.

Very true! One time my daughter and I went to Texas, and the wife and sister-in-law went to the Cracker. :)
