Heck...maybe I should buy it. Its only 45 minutes away :)

Actually the engine and trans might be worth something.

I'll keep an eye on the auction and see what it goes for.

It is sad though.... to see a fellow MM in that shape.

Anyone with an open carfax?

2MEHM75V03X658281

Yes. And if a seller in Minnesota lists a lot of parts over the next year or so the police will have a prime suspect. It's happened before. A guy in Culpeper, Virginia was just busted for listing stolen property on eBaY. A victim found some of his stolen property in one of the guys eBaY auctions. Small world. :)

Now I know what everyone is talking about ..ie 300a or 300b ..etc... this is probably a 300b.. de-contented vehicle... glad i got the 2004 300a model.. :dunno: :loco:

I may bid on this car.

Several thousand over the next year or two could, and I say "could" get her back to running condition as long as the engine and tranny are intact.

Still cheaper than than a used Marauder :)

It does say it was stolen as a new car from a dealer...

There may not be many miles on this car.

Look at the door panel appears to be a 300a or early 300b with the locking fuel door. That is one trashed Marauder!!

Geez...already up to $225...with 6 days left.

My guess is that because the tranny and engine are intact....should go for $1000 or more.

Not sure I want to go that high..we'll see.

Five OH.........That car is going to be worth only parts by the look of it... The electrical is in shambles..key component of these cars....Your new name would BE:FIVE-Oh,Oh,Oh,Oh meaning many O's bohind the 5 due to the thousands of hours to rebuild not to mentine cost : large $$$.Just my thoughts on buying something this bad......

This looks like a pro job to me. I had a 99 Accord stolen and they took everything but the drive train. It turned out that the seats, panels and other interior components were worth more than in parts than the entire car.

If anyone buys this car it will be for parts. trying to put it back together will cost more than will be worth it.

Best,

Dan

True....it would probably be just for parts.

One can dream though :)

It's a 300B judging by the VIN and the temporary tire. OASIS shows this:
Build date:11/13/02
Start date:4/30/03
Has CA/NY emmissions
no recalls
no repair history (1 year to date)

Five0, if you buy this, PM me for key code info.

WHAT?! The rear bumper fascia alone is worth over $1000 from the dealer...never mind all the other good parts that are left...for the currect bid, ($511.62 as of 1449 on 8/16/2004) it would be worth it to buy the car and have it shipped wherever you live...

Boneyard numbers on engine = 2400. On tranny = 600. The rest is gravy.

Anyone thinking "pro stock?"

Your next car Mac? gut the interior, with the new hood add air induction paths for your turbo chargers.... Oh what fun could be had for the right amount of money....

The Black Marauder if a 300B according to the serial #. As previously stated it will cost more to rebuild than to purchase a whole car. Very sad.

The asking price $ 11,500 doesn't sound so bad. On the down side you receive a salvage title which IMO renders the vehicle almost worthless if you have intentions of fixing and selling it. Again the repair cost would not be worth it. It looks like that vehicle has some serious frame damage. Definitely a good parts car.

If I wasn't putting on a Trilogy....that would be my thought exactly.

Strip out everything....interior, etc. Put a racing seat, full cage...the whole 9 yards.

Strip the engine of everything thats not needed.....AC, etc.

Rebuild the engine with top notch high performance parts.

Supercharge it.

Even a current S/C Marauder with all that extra weight taken out could probably go low to mid 11's.

A few extra hundred ponies with the right combination you could be in the 9's.

Just an idea though :)

I think this car is still cheap at the price (about $1,500 as of now)

If it was local I'd buy it for parts alone.

My SWAG on restoring it would be

$2.5 K for the nose.
$0.5 rear wheels with rubber
$1.5 interior
$2.5 for who knows what.

$7.0 total

Plus original purchase price.

Thats assuming you put the interior in yourself.
The dash is the hard part.

You might be able to mount the front end depending on how bent up it is.

If the motor or tranny is bad there lies the risk. Still all in all it looks like a nice little project. Provided you could afford the drivetrain risk if it turned out bad. You could be in for another $2-$3K if the motor is bad.

Basically you need to find one marauder with interior being parted out.

A hood and fender from a GM no problm
The front bumper and header might be hard to find used.
but lights turn up fairly regularly.

Paint the nose and you have a fine cab or a really great daily driver that you don't have to worry about.

I assume there is no warranty from ford but I could be wrong.

The You might beat those prices if you have parts connections in the yards. Some sweat equtity and Marauder away!

Just my $0.02

Jay
