Okay - I've searched and read all the forums where adaptors for Steering Wheel Controls are mentioned, but I'm going to ask anyway :help: :

Are there any adaptors for the steering wheel controls OTHER THAN the PAC SWI-X? :dunno:

The 'why': I'm thinking of installing a TravelPro II in place of the head unit in the MM, but it doesn't have a remote capability, which the SWI-X requires to echo the steering wheel controls. I would like to know if there is an alternative (although I also might get into the guts of the TravelPro and wire up a remote capability directly). I wonder if there is, since this unit is used in the Aston Martin DB9 and Vantage and it has steering wheel controls itself that function.

Opinions are welcomed.

If it's used in a Aston or Vantage, then it should have an control wire in it's harness to accept the steering wheel control pulses on.

Just match up the wire on the MM radio harness to the appropriate wire on the inbound harness for your new headunit.

No?
