It's been to long since we have gotten together. We have another potential member on Ft Lewis that wants to get together with us, and as soon as he sees some mods (Like Dirtydogs Kooks system) he will get off the fence and register.

Also, Mrsteamrope has had something in her trunk that belongs to RCSignals since we left Indy.

Bremeton or Pacific Raceways would be nice, or something else in the south sound since Duncan will be coming from Four Corners OR.

Lets get going, time's a wastin'! :chat: your friends, lets:party: !

Let me know where...I just got a 99 BMW 740iL. It has a 4.4L DOHC motor and feels a lot like how TAF's car felt when I drove it before he went all mod crazy. :burnout:

I just got a PM from RCSignals. He says after the 28th works for him. I am not sure what's going on after that @ Bremerton or Pacific Raceways.

All I know is that I want to see what Mrsteamropes car will do after the Dynotune in good air, and get a baseline before I tune and re-gear my 03.

The BMW sounds sweet.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind getting a run in my new car to see what it does. I know my '01 PI runs 16.025 fully loaded. I am looking to get that down by next year. I could run my Impala, but it does have 183k on it...still pulls hard when I open it up on the on-ramp though.

Just find a time and we will do it. I think Pacific Raceways would be better...just because it was just redone. Plus I already ran at Bremerton and want to get a feel for the new set up at Pacific Raceways. Of course it's ultimately up to Duncan where, since he will be the furthest one out.

Anyone know the schedual @ PRW, or have any other Ideas?

Well I went to their site. http://pacificraceways.com/

It appears as though Sept would be a bad time to go, except the wheekend of the 11th, as nothing is shown on the schedule.

I also saw Brian Wyatt today. He thinks it would be fun to get the SS guys and the Marauder folks together. That would also be a blast.

Count me in, I'm ready to go now. I got to see what everyone has done to their cars. I need some more ideals or things to copy. I got gears for Jonathan.

The fall ford fest in Graham should work. (Feel free to jump in Duncan):D

It would be kind of fun to hit PRW once too. My 03 still hasn't hit the 1320, and I've had it 5 months longer than Linda's had her DTR. I'm not sure whats going on there the 28th, but that would be a good time to get with the SS guys.

:hotrice: Fried rice anyone?

What is the Ford Fall fest?
Is that the event put on by the Early Ford V8 Club that is no longer Ford products only?

It would be good to get together! Labor Day the 6th looks ok and Aug 28th too. If something further south for RCSignals works better, that would be fine too. Thanks!

Let's make it happen! :2thumbs:

Vintage racing? Are we talking 60's muscle, 50's sports cars or 1st century Roman chariots? All 3 sound like fun. :woohoo:

I would love to try Pacific raceways new track, but if we are gonna do a Saturday meet this month, it will have to be at Bremerton.

But then we don't necicarily have to race. The 6th in Graham looks good too. We can always work something out with the SS club later.

Or Third option, Bremerton & Graham! (My favorite option)

01 Interceptor
08-20-2004, 10:42 PM
The only bad thing about going to a race at Bremerton during one of those times is that you HAVE to get there when the track opens to get 3 runs in. I got there late(10:30) and only got 2 runs, then at 1pm they have elims. There are plenty of cars there and it was a decent time, but I don't think it was worth the 25 bucks. I haven't yet been to PR during one of those racedays. I think the best times to go would be a non-race weekend when you pay 25 and get as many runs as you want.

teamrope
08-20-2004, 10:54 PM
I have a feeling that this late in the season we will be hard pressed to get more than a 3 or 4 runs in at either track.

Sux that Pacific Raceways is doing the rice run on the 28th. I would have a hard time getting to one of the Wed/Fri night drags. (Although, the last run of the evening should improve in cooler air)

Maybe I'm missing something. Do they have test and tune sessions at Pacific raceways on non race weekends?

01 Interceptor
08-21-2004, 12:30 AM
I am pretty sure they are open every weekend, and those events listed are just special events. I will find out more tomorrow, after I talk to my friend's dad who goes there often.

01 Interceptor
08-22-2004, 01:35 PM
Ok I talked to my friend. He said that every Saturday during the season there is a test and tune session. This includes non-listed race weekends. I will confirm this information this week.

Sept. 6, 2004 20th Ford Fall Fest. Graham, Wa. 253-845-1771

DaveI just tried that number. It's for the Puyallup Fair. I'm sure it is still a go, just don't know the details. Also the number listed on the Mustang club page for this event is temporarily dissconnected. (253)852- 9344

So far it sounds like the best option, unless there is something going on sooner.

28th - Show & Shine 2004 - Menlo, WA (About 50 min west of Chehalis on SR 6)

29th - Family Fun & Cars In The Sun - Enumclaw, WA

Sept 4th - Cool Creek Nites Car Show - Olympia, WA

6th - 20th Ford Fall Fest - Graham, WA

Hi Jon and BF,

I just got back from the recon for a site that will work for Blue03 and RC Signals too. I might have us a new member. (See thread) http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?p=166262#post16 6262 :welcome:

The only thing Chehalis has is a Dairy Dans that is a mile off of the Highway, and only has parking for about 25 cars, and parking is in the rear, with no exposure to the public so to speak. It would be a good stop on a rod run, but not for a meet. :blah:

Now the outlet mall exit in Centralia is another story. They have all kinds of options for eats, my favorite being the Country Cuisine restaurant. They also have a park right there that might work too.

The Centralia spot sounds ok. A guy at work grew up down there. I'll check with him to see if he has any ideas as a back up! I'm driving down to Camas Wednesday on biz so maybe I can check it out on the way back home.

Also I'm thinking about going to Graham. I'd like to check it out but haven't locked in my schedule on it yet! I'll try to get that figured out in the next day or so.

Yeh, I've been there a couple of times a few years ago. They were in kind of a nice park setting with trees for shade. I wish we could find a phone number for them to find the exact location, time, and to make sure we are welcome due to the newness of our cars.
