Nice write up on the Super Heavy Weight Shoot Out held by MM&FF in June at Englishtown, New Jersey.

You know him, you love him, Scott Levine from the often touted Team Ford in the A T L took top seat at the event. It's nice to know that all of you guys who have Scott and the rest of the "Team" working on your car are in good hands. Predictions are that when he has his tune and engine management worked out, he will be well into the 10's. Believe it! In the meantime, I guess that will give me something to shoot at....

Our very own Lidio from Alternative Automotive and his Trilogy set up got much deserved props on thier set up. Congrats Lidio!!! You boys up in Motown sure are lucky to have him watching your backs!

There was even a Kenny Brown car rounding out the pack. Pretty cool!

Sure would be nice if some more of our members here gets invited next year. Quite frankly, I am surprised that Dave (MI2QWK4U) wasn't invited. He would have shown those magazine folks a thing or too about moving a big car fast.

Anyway folks, enjoy the read!!

Someone from the MM&FF folk showed up on CVN and posted an invitation for all 10 second and faster Panthers.

I think they were loudly booted off the board with mean and angry comments by all the slow Vic owners.

I think Jeff's mid 12 second Vic was the fastest Vic around, powered by a Vortech that I now own, who gave them the idea that there were 10 second Vics?

I'm certainly glad that my slow ass Vic and my buddies from here Mike and Ryan got a chance to have some fun two years ago MM&FF folk were a bit more realistic. My favorite part was the fact that Ryan took a spot in the shootout that Geno and his troops ere shooting for, I think he had like three back up Mark8's ready to show off.

Its all good, Congrats to the Trilogy and the Kenny Brown Marauder that got in this year!!!

Couldn't agree with you more, Russ. You know me from over there. I always on CVN. Fastest Vic I've ever known of was in fact Jeff's 12 second Vortech'd Vic.

When is Ford going to strengthen the "Police package" with something stronger than the 4.6 SOHC. Cheap mofos.

Just my :twocents:

Just my :twocents:I agree and would like to see some more power, but from Fords standpoint, why bother? They sell everyone they make (CVPI) because there is no competition in the full size RWD police car market. We have talked about the popularity of SUV's elsewhere on here, and it is my opinion that Chevy made a big mistake by discontinuing the RWD caprice so they could make more trucks and SUV's. I think we all could have benifited from a little competition between full size RWD Fords and Chevy's. Just my :twocents:

I disagree,

As fast as the retail price is falling on the Marauder, I'll be able to afford one much quicker than I originally thought.

With the savings on the actual car will come a nice Trilogy Eaton M112 kit, some tranny and suspension mods, some cosmetic and interior uprades and I will finally be able to come out of the vomit buckets into some nice pimp mobile. hehe

thanks FORD

I will agree about the prices part. They are falling and falling fast. Ford and Chevy will soon have to catch up to MOPAR. It seems like they are coming back with more cubic inches and horses than any other company.

because from what I understand you have to be very good at kissing ass to get in there.

you must send in a high quality print photo to their NJ offices with a very good suck up letter to beg for the opportunity of a lifetime in order to be invited. Most of our pride wouldn't allow us to stoop that low.

Internet requests were not honored and only select few answered the outrageous call made on a select few message boards.

Is MM&FF really that bad about letting people run at one of their test sessions/''Showdowns'??? I was hoping to get in on next years 2 tons 'o fun.

I don't recall MM&FF posting here about it. There is no reason for them not to know about this board.

Neither GM nor Chrysler have ever been consistently or continuously serious about having a Police vehicle option.
Ford was the first, and only US manufacture to be continuous, going back at least 74 years.

Hey everybody, this is THE MAN who installed most all my mods. This is the guy I trust absolutely to service my car (just had it in his hands today for some warrantee work), and his opinion is gold to me. Jason Adams, whose work station is next to Scott, works with Scott as a tag team for mods, especially handling electrical mods. But Scott, man, we are SOOO lucky to have someone with his experience, knowledge, and skill at our disposal. Plus, we are >friends< to Scott, not just clients.

I just gave Scott a billit aluminim windshield washer resevoir cover for his Mark VII -- it didn't fit my Marauder.

Can't wait to see it (and a certain attorney's car) run at the Southern Shoot Out in November!

My hat's off to Lidio, although from what you guys are saying about that event, it sounds like there are a lot of politics involved to simply be one of the chosen ones to compete in it. So perhaps it's no great loss. But thanks for mentioning my name anyway Joe. ;)

Your correct! This is the same magazine that posted a short article about Marauder takin a "dirt nap" for the third time.

This is the site for Marauder's on the internet? No? Go figure?
