I had my rear windows tinted and noticed almost immediately flaws in the glass or tint - can't tell which. By flaws I mean something that looks like someone spit on the window and it ran down the glass, got wiped off, but there is a shadow remaining.
I figured I needed to let the tint dry then clean the windows good inside and out. After a week I cleaned them and the flaws/streaks were still there.
I took it to two different tint shops. Both said it was in the glass not the tint. One guy said Audis and BMWs had this problem years back and the local dealer quit sending the cars out for tinting because they were replacing too much glass. He said it is rare on Fords since they own LOF Glass.
Anyone hear of such a thing? You wont see it unless tint is applied. I see it on both rear door windows and one rear quarter window.
