My son and I ran the Marauder up to the Phili auto show yesterday. The Mercury area was pretty boring, with the exception of the 'Rauder they had there, but they did nothing to promote it. No signs, no info, just parked one there like it was an afterthought. No wonder they're not selling.

It is a pure mystery to me why with all the hype at the inception of this grand car why they would just drop it in their advertizing like a hot potato before it get's off the ground. Money trouble's aside I've seen plenty of Ford car advertizing and G/M's, they treat the MM like a bastard son, pushed back in the corner. The Detroit auto show has the silver Marauder right out in the front row and people either love it or hate it. Hopefully things will change and the Marauder nameplate and car will get it's due.

I have to admit that I was turned off to the idea of owning a Marauder when it first came out due to a 2002 Crown Vic I took out for a test drive. I figured that it would handle just like a CV, and that’s not what I was looking for. With out any real advertising of the Marauder, and a ton of advertising on the LS, I went into the dealership to take a LSV8 for a test drive. After not particularly enjoying the LS, the salesman pointed me to a Marauder in the showroom. I said it looked gorgeous, but I wasn’t a fan of the way the CV handled, but then he talked me into a test drive. I fell absolutely in love with the car, and its handling. I’ve been ranting and raving too everyone about how much I liked the car so maybe word of mouth is how they are doing it. I firmly believe that they should do some more advertising and actually featuring the car like a lot of other manufactures do.

Speaking about good advertising, I want to run out and buy a Huyandai Sonata every time I see the commercial with the parents making out in the back of the car. Just kidding, but talk about over showing that commercial. Its on every 15 minutes!

I agree, what happened to the original ad that showed th MM traveling in the parking garage, and when it parked between two cars they kind of were pushed aside, or the other ad where the MM was traveling down some exclusive street somewhere and everyone was staring at it

The suspension changes made fr '03 are significant. People don't realise that until they drive the car. They especially realise it if they have ever driven a pre '03 CV/GM

On my first test drive, I found a nice two-lane twisty road and couldn't believe the way this massive car took the corners. Pure pleasure. I bought one 2 days later and can't get enough. Mine is a daily driver, salt on the roads or whatever, 90 miles a day. I can't wait for Spring.
