View Full Version : Two Tone Paint Scheme

Just fooling around with a two tone paint scheme idea. This is a quick and crude paint rendering of a black/candy red two tone idea based on the 1970 Camaro that Summit Racing featured recently. The first shots are of the Camaro, the next is a possible Marauder two tone scheme. The paint break line is natural on the MM, and would have a paint tape covering the border like on the Camaro.

There's a GT Mustang around here somewhere like that...I love it personally. I'm sure it would look great!

Donny, did you use a brush and roller to paint your car again?

Well, take a closer look. Team Ford. Todd standing there.

No, who do we know with a car at Team Ford?

I'd have to look but I think there was another Photoshop job that used those same colors. And by the way Marty, the paint job looked good, nothing to worry about.

Bill: If I could get my car to look like this, I would have a roller in my hand. Call me crazy, but I love the look of this car!

Uh... nope.

Ford got it right with our original color choices .

But that's just my Canadian $.02 worth!

This shot is Gator Customs (the Gator Glass guys) work on a black TA. I really like these ghost flames.

Me too. The car that has one of those paint jobs better have the ballz to back it up though.....

How about a 'MYSTIC' Marauder like the Mustangs have...It would look great except for the $$$$$$ of the 'Mystic' paint!!!

Mystic paint is one of those things I like, just not on my car.

I know its not easy to touch up a stone chip in a Mystic car. Pep Boys doesn't have a small bottle of 'Mystic' touch-up paint on the shelves.

This thing looks like a squad car from hell. Rob Zombie, paging Rob Zombie...your car is here.

Personally, I think any two tone paint job would look too much like a squad car. Leave 'er black. But maybe a nice red metal flake in black paint would look good.

BTW Donny I'd vote for you purchasing a copy of photoshop but I had to pick just one:)

Instead of red, what about a silver one with the black hood and grill just this picture?

I like black on black, until Ford develops a darker color.

Yeah,

I did those images a few months back.
I also wanted to add a Mach1 shaker scoop to the hood, a sort of like a two tone Talidaga Torino. I also thought about adding GT stripes to the rocker panels like someone on this site did to there blue Marauder (look in the MVII gallery).

Seeing were on this subject, does anyone have a black and white illustration of a Marauder or Crown Vic?
The sort of image you would find in a childs coloring book.
I thought it would be fun(ny) to have a coloring contest for paint schemes.
That way we would all start out with the same image and each person could create the picture in what ever media they prefered (paint, pencils, crayons, photo shop...etc).

Just an idea...

SouLRioT

that would be cool, I cant remember, but someone's "photoshop" program had a filter that made the image just like what you are talking about.

It must be me, all I see are a left quarter shot and a rear shot of the Camaro. No Marauder untill SoulRiot's posting.

I'm confused :bricks:

Nah, it's that black fuzzy crap that they sprayed on a couple of the batmobiles.

You don't have to wax it, but running a lint brush over it helps.
