During yesterdays Windy city Marauder meet, I have a question about the battery that came stock in your cars. Mine is a '03 300A, build date of 6/02. Does your battery have the little green indicator "eye"? Mine does not
Cranking amps are the same, and it is a motorcraft battery.

Any ideas why the difference?

Replacement battery?

OOPS!! sorry billy, I was just wondering if the battery that came with the car was a replacement from the one installed at the factory. However, its great to know someone has the info on replacement batteries that fast

Oh, okay....I don't know the answer to that one. Perhaps someone else will chime in.

Mine had the green eye, but it turned red and the battery died shortly thereafter. My batter lasted less than one year.

Most likely. When my '03 was wrecked, the new battery was a Motorcraft. It looked completely different from the original. Don't remember about the "eye" though.

Green eye also! Replacement Motorcraft batteries do not have this feature.

Mine has the green eye and according to my dealer that eye is only indicates one cell of the battery. IMO the factory battery sucks.
