I LOVE those tail lamps and head lights...but the bumpers are kind of...square? The rims are too small and a la Benz. It has Xenon's and check out the license plate! Har har!

Nice, very Bentley/300C-like

On a cop car, ok I guess. If there are to be 2005 civilian Crown Vics, though, they're not going to put those bumpers on them, are they?

Must be a mockup. No blue lights on police cars in NYS. Blue lights are volunteer fire fighters.

It's only a concept

It's only a concept. If I've been paying attention, the Panther platform continues without the Marauder until further notice.

The wheels look like they are from a Mercedes?

No dis', but that concept has been around for quite a while; IIRC, circa early 2003 and heralded as the 2004 Police Interceptor.

Your right on the money, Joe, this is a concept car from 2002. What no one has noted yet in this thread, is the 6" stretch of the frame for rear seat room allowing for a police/taxi protective cage that allowed for more humane clearance for rear seat passengers. There were two concepts built in 2002, this somewhat generic cop car, and a Yellow cab. I remember the original pics were hosted somewhere on the FMC fleet page, but it was a long time ago.

I beleive that this is known as the P73 designation.
There are thousands in service in NYC and they are my favorite cab style since the Checker. Far more comfortable than the P71 based cabs. It is my understanding that the Taxi & Limousine Commission is requiring that all of the taxis in NYC be migrated to this or several other larger platforms. :2thumbs:

Actually, the 6" longer one is the P70. The P73 is the plain old Crown Victoria.

The P72 is your standard size CV Commercial platform. From '88 to '92, even the CVPI's were using this one.

Yup, as many have said that is a concept from a few years ago.
I suspect you will see some of the styling traits of this car in the next freshening of the CV.

Yup, looks like they put the bumpers on the outside of the bumper covers.
