What are the Odds ?

I have posted on this forum in the past about how MM's are really scarce in Vancouver .
But something happened this morning , that literally blew my monkey brain of a mind and the experience has been indelibly etched in my memory.

I was coming off the freeway into an Industrial park on a surface road that has 3 lanes of traffic.
I'm on my way to see some customers , it's 9:00 a.m .
I'm in the middle lane of the 3 and what do I see in the left lane , a car length ahead ? I can't believe my eyes...

A black Marauder.
You have to remember , I never see these cars here , let alone get close to another on the road. This is the closest I have ever been to another Marauder on the road.

Now it gets really weird .

As we are slowing down for the light, what do I see pulling up along side me in the right hand lane .

You guessed it another Marauder.
I have seen 2 or 3 others in two years . Never close up and now I see two in 5 seconds , a few feet away .
So here we are ,3 black Marauders in traffic , like it was the most natural thing in the world to do .But it's not !

At least not where I live .

Maybe in Detroit or Dallas .

But not in Vancouver .

I felt like I was in an episode of the Twilight Zone .

I half-expected Rod Serling to tap on my window and let me know how to drive my Marauder into the space portal for re-entry back to earth !

I'd say you better go play some type of lotto cause your luckier than I am --I don't see other MMs either , not until we have our Carolina Marauder meets do I see another------even in the largest city in both Carolina's....so there--see---the odds are stranger all over...given they're only about ...what...14K or so made through all of N. America...not bad really ---you have captured a bunch in a shorth time...............Tom...

Well with less than 12000 sold,and about 1000 on dealer lots there aint that many of us out here.

At Indy we had about 70, right?
Everywhere I looked,on Crawfordsville Road, was a Marauder!

Except for the Big Bats doo, I've never seen another Marauder or a GTO. Lots of those square mouthed 300M's, though.

Now that you guys mention it, I don't see any Marauders either. I think there were more Marauders built than Lightnings and yet I see Lightnings almost daily. Granted since 1999 , more Gen II Lightnings have been built than MM. Still seems odd.

To see another MM in my neck of the woods would make me run fast to the barn and see if MY MM had been stolen!!

I enjoy life without the distractions of seeing another Marauder.
PU trucks are definitely more the norm than ordinary cars.

As for the (Chrysler) 300C...I'd rather have an old rail road boxcar!!

I pulled up next to the dodge version of the 300, the magnum wagon, at a stop sign the other day. I have a feeling I'll be seeing a lot of those in the future. And I hear there's talk of a 300 R/T version coming out in 05 with some additional power.

As I pulled up next to him I thought about challenging him, but I just bought a black 04 Marauder a little over a week ago and with just 100 miles on it now I'm wondering about how long it takes to break it in.

Drive it like you stole it!! It will loosen up in 5000 to 6000 miles.
