Fourth Horseman

Just wanted to report in on my latest mod. I picked up a set of Meggs resonator-delete tips and had them installed today. As you may recall I was one of the folks to jump on the FlowMaster 40 mufflers rather early. I've always been impressed with the sound of the mufflers, but felt it would be better with the straight through tips. I'm happy to report that things worked out really well.
In addition to having the new tips put on I also had them extended out past the bumper cover a bit, as has been recommended on this forum by others. The idea is to let the sound escape without getting 'caught' under the car and increasing interior cabin noise too drastically. It seems to have worked well. Interior noise is up slightly, but exterior sound is perfect! It's exactly the sound I was after without making the interior too harsh.
Pics are in the gallery (also showing my new SS Inserts - I was so impressed with these on everybody else's cars at MVII that I had to get a set!):
