I went to Chehalis & Centralia today to recon a sight that would work for the Washington & Oregon Maraudereers to meet.
I had to pick up some things in Wal Mart, and what's parked out at the end of the parking lot? A black 300A with LP brackets that read "Saw it, Wanted it, threw a fit, GOT IT!"
I parked next to it, and had Mrsteamrope write a note that said Nice Car! Log on to www.mercurymarauder.net (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/) and meet a lot of cool people with the same intrest in cars. Tell them teamrope sent ya.
One we were in the store about 5 min, we got paged! Real nice young lady who's daughter has just started college.
Don't know what her screen name is going to be, but we have a new member comming on board. That will bring Western Washington up to 9 members, and the Pacific Northwest up to 10! (Now I have to keep working on MSG Simmons to make it 10 & 11)

Jeff picked the web name. I guess this is where all Torino's go when they need a new life. (or have once died):dunno:
At the moment I am trying to figure out how to chat and Jeff is on the phone with teamrope

The Mercury Maurader is actually Daddy's car.
But Momma is the registered owner. go figure
I have lost count of the Torino's Jeff has:lol:
We are a car family, and there are no doubt other women out there that know what I am talking about. lol
As raising a family a lot of the toys had to be sold to meet financial obligations such as two sets of braces. etc.
(Jeff 1953 f-100, a couple of chevelles, Denise 1969 Mach I with shaker, 1955 f-100 and a couple of sweet 1968 Torino's)
We still have our family car 1989 SHO
She has been kind of "moth balled" this year
Jeff has a 1970 1/2 Ford Falcon yes they made a half year on a Torino Platform but the car is a post :soap: kind of like explaining what an SHO or Marauder is.
Elaine is the name of his 1970 1/2 falcon race car. She is plain but pretty and with a built 351 cleveland she will be heard.
Daughter has a 1970 1/2 Ford Falcon it is grabber green and rule was if she didn't work on it the car would not get done. Jeff and Anna built "Maggie"
My car was a daily driver and my ET bracket racer for six years.
I taught the kid's to drive in that car.
I signed my husband up at a Jr. College auto body as a Christmas Gift the first year we were married.
After 25 years of marriage and waiting for everyone else's car to have body work and paint.
(including friends, friends of friends, husbands daughters) my car was next
Grendel is a 1971 Torino GT
She was painted by my husband Seven Stage Green Candy, with 3 colors of chrome illusion on the laser stripes and interior door panels.
All new interior. I made the tuck and roll for the back deck on my home sewing machine. And built the panels for the trunk and did the tuck and roll in there as well.
Her underbelly is as clean and the engine room (where I started detailing and worked my way to the undercarrage all the way back to the gas tank)
This ugly mess took up a great deal of time.
Started out with a plastic puddy knife, (wire brush) a lot of paper towels and experimented with household cleaning supplies. Then I had to paint her underbelly.
Jeff said he would never do this.
Well she is my car and I did it myself.
I will have Jeff post to the site later.
Along with the Marauder.
