Just wanted to thank everyone I met and dealt with on my trip to Mt. Clemens Michigan this week. It was a week to remember.
I took my Marauder out to Lidio at Alternative Auto to have a Trilogy S/C installed on Monday. I stayed, for the majority of the week, with a friend in central Michigan about 1.5 hours away.
Tuesday night was all you can eat ribs with Lowell in Owosso, MI. Lowell......you've got me thinking about that dang Pioneer head unit... Just what I need...more toys! Great dinner and conversation. I'll be in touch.
Wednesday I spent some time at the shop taking a few pics. Lunch with Dan...at a great spot (little 50's restaurant). Dan....I'm still laughing at your sense of humor! To all...you gotta meet this guy!!! User ID: dwasson....
Wednesday evening was spent with Hack Goby...eating at an great steak restaurant called "Capers"....order steak by the ounce...! Loved it...as you will be able to tell. Hack took me on a very nice tour of the area. Thanks Hack! (I hear they found that women that died in the lake you pointed out)... :( on her death.
Thursday I got to meet the one and only Big Joe P...great guy with a very nice Kenny Brown conversion. Love those gauges Joe! Joe bought me and my buddy lunch at guess where.......Capers. Awesome steak. Good luck with that mirror Joe...sorry to hear about it.
Thursday evening I found out from Lidio that it wouldn't be finished. Bigslim picked me up and we headed out to dinner.....at guess where....Capers! They have a seat reserved for me the next time I'm in town ;) We both ate the 18 ounce New York Strips.... We waddled out...both very full!
Friday after I left I met up with Zack and SergntMac in the Windy City for a great Mexican dinner. We could hear Zack coming a few blocks away.... :D
They looked over my car before we parted ways...we shook hands and I got in my car. I thought I was getting the "Windy City Marauders" hazing! When I got in my car my plastic key guard (the ignition part) was missing! I thought one of those two swiped it as a joke!!! Turns out it had just fallen on the floor...didn't realize those things could come off.
So...officially: I apologize Mac and Zack for asking if you were playing a prank on me.
Thanks Mac for dinner! I'll definitely be back...and next time its on me. Zack....I'll hopefully catch you (track times) someday...but its a very big longshot! :) Great looking car, grill and s/c kit. Mac....love that KB 1X (although no...I won't trade...sorry!!!)
Oh...and Dave...thanks for the QWK ride!
Back on topic:
A special thanks to Lidio and his crew. Consumate professionals and expert mechanics! They really know their cars...no doubt. I'll definitely be going back for a few minor things over the next few years.
The install was almost flawless. Few very minor problems....all taken care of before I left.
3.2 pulley making 10.5 pounds of boost.
Metco Carbon Fiber intake tube
She dynoed at 426 rwhp and 407 rwt.
Winter is going to bring widened rims.
Next spring is going to bring a Pro-M MAF and KN style large cone filter. Lidio says this is worth 15 rwhp.
Couple pics in the next post....my camera broke just before the first full dyno pull :fire: :argh:
Thanks again everyone. I love this MM community.
Anyone who comes to my area has a "Get out of jail free" card in my book :D
I did 1- G-Timer run on the way back...35 psi in the rear stock wheels.
0-60 foot was 2.21
0-60 mph was 4.70
13.05 @ 106.7
This was with massive wheelspin in the back. Looks like sub 13's are probable and this car should pull 1.8 0-60 foot times with traction....IE: Widened rims.
Off to bed.....I'm tired!!!!
Thanks again everyone.
Oh.....and I'd like to thank the restaurant Capers for the 7 pounds I gained this week... :D

I was also really amazed at one thing:
When I purchased it and drove it back from San Diego...with Denso's, 4.10's and KN Panel I got 20 mpg....almost exactly.
After the 2400 stall torque converter and full Kooks I was getting 19-20mpg.
On my trip back after the s/c install I was getting 21mpg.
Now theres a reason to get a supercharger!!! It increases the gas mileage!!! ;)
She was a blast on the way home. It'll break the tires loose without even stretching out.
This is the mod to get. Save your pennies...sell your wife and or kids ;) :D ...but get a s/c.
'nuff said.
It was a really big :surprise: for me. I didn't expect it to put me back in my seat as it does.
Thanks again everyone.

Congratulations FiveO on your Supercharged Marauder!!! I just knew that you would Luv the results!!!! As far as your ET's, I know that you'll be well into the 12 second bracket with the drag radials in the back, but even with the factory stock tires you'll get into the high 12's since they will always grab better off the line at the dragstrip than they will on the street due to all that traction compound that's put on the track. But I'd go on the weekend rather than on a friday night since I've been told that many tracks are NOT prepped for weeknights like they are for the weekends, unless there's an unusually major even going on mid-week.

If she drives the car at all U won't have to:cuke:She won't know just by driving the car unless she has a lead foot, and she's just as much into hi-performance as we are. And in that case, she would Luv it. But otherwise she won't realize that the thing is a monster unless she gets past the half throttle point. She might notice a little something with a bit less than half throttle, but unless she knows a lot about hi-perf stuff, she might simply think that it's "running real good today" or "he must have tuned it up" or something like that. Unless she intentionally wants to wring it out w/the gas pedal, the car won't feel like a whole different car. The driveability isn't effected to the point that it behaves differently in heavy traffic or anything like that.

Hey Billy, yea I hear ya,still wait'in for a shot behind the wheel of Trilogy.so I can better relate to the driveability you speek of.Even the non Motorheads (like us)can be provoked by people that under estimate the MM.My wife told me a story the other day."Some guy in a hot rod Merceces needed a little lesson" on the way home from work. Now u have to appreciate this lady never stomps the Go pedal!when she got to the part in the story "U should'a seen the look on his FACE".I was stunned! Hey Billy ever thought of carring a camera in your car to capture one of those priceless looks?:camera:

Hey Billy ever thought of carring a camera in your car to capture one of those priceless looks?:camera:Well Brad, I understand your point. If the Mrs. can be provoked like that, then she will know somethings been done under the hood even if you didn't tell her the car is now Supercharged. But that kinda goes back to what I said, that in that case, she would Luv it. ofcourse she might not like that you kept it a secret w/out telling her about it. Ofcourse in that situation you can always say "I just decided to let you feel that awesome power for yourself w/out me telling you about it beforehand". That really wouldn't be a lie, right? However, telling her that might still not avoid you from being in the "doghouse" so to speak. But if your wife is a real mellow driver who isn't provoked into competitive nor aggressive driving by other drivers, then she will never know what you've done under the hood unless you tell her. As far as the camera deal, I can just imagine getting pulled over and having to explain the camera.

My wife is banished from the drivers seat due to having an excessive lead foot. When we 1st brought it home I let her drive it up to the inlaws 1/2 mile away. As soon as she turned the corner I heard her open it up and leave it there till she got to her parents house. That was the last and only time she drives it without me being in the car. We refer to her as the "Accident Queen" of Madison County. She has had a wreck with every car shes owned... :banghead:
If I put a S/C'er on the car and let her drive it, I'd be guilty of assisting a suicide, or criminally negligent homicide.

Hmm.....you have #24....I have #48...does that mean I can go twice as fast ;) :bump: j/k!!! It's amazing that there are now nearly 50 Trilogy equipped Marauders running around like ours. It was just last April of this year that I was installing Trilogy kit #24 in my car.
Its gonna be fun at the track....gotta get those rims widened this winter!
Yep, but until then you can leave some very impressive burnouts right through 1st AND second gear from e mere stab of the gas pedal with those factory stock tires. So enjoy if you're so inclined. The car will still spin the tires into second gear a little with the drag radials, but not as much as with the stock rubber.
