Marauder wins 1st Place in SVTOA Memphis Car show.

This was my first time to enter any car show. Wasn't many cars in my catagory but first place is still first place. Had about 200 cars mostly Mustangs and Lightnings. Didn't expect to win anything just wanted to get the car some exposure as not many MMs in the Memphis area. Car got a lot off attention as they positioned it so it stood out from all the Mustangs that surrounded it. Couldn't believe some of the crazy questions and comments. Let me see if I can remember some of them:

1. Are those wheels stock?
2. I thought they only came in Black.
3. That's a rare car. They only made 400 of them.
4. It has the same engine as the Cobra.
5. I thought they only did a one-year run.
6. I drive a '99 Crown Vic. Where did you get your Marauder kit?

Anyway had a great time just talking to people about the Marauder.

Congrats! We had the DTR in a show last weekend too. We didn't win any trophies, but the car did spark a lot of intrest. One guy asked us "What was Mercury thinking bringing out a car like that?" and "Why didn't they advertise it?"

Amazing the attention these cars get. I was at Pigeon Forge this weekend and somebody from Alabama had their stock (at least outward appearance) Marauder sitting outside a motel. Crowds kept gathering around it, even with the highly modified custom iron all over the place. I left a card on the wihdshield telling them about MM.net, hopefully they'll check in. I didn't have my MM up there, I took my Dad's '49 Caddy up there to try and sell it.
