I know this has been addressed before, but I can't find the thread. I remember someone mentioning that one of the members here sells the trunk insert. I went to the dealer, but they want $291.00 for it:loco: .

Can someone please tell me who to contact about getting one?

Thanks much.

If you will do a search for trunk organizier you will find a post by The Dealer in which has trunk organizers for 200.00

They are really cheap plastic, not constructed as well as you would think, etc....

But, once in place they are worth the money whether you pay $200 or $290. :)

WoW! I went full circle in this reply, ehh? Time to leave before the fireworks now..... :dogrun:

I got one in this car now. I am trying to decide if I really like it. It really shallows out the trunk.

It really shallows out the trunk.
It does cut the depth of the trunk some. However, the ability to keep tools, cleaning supplies, and miscellaneous stuff organized and out-of-sight more than compensates for the rare times that I need the extra 6 inches.

I agree the trunk thing is a "love or hate" item at best. When I first got mine I thought "what the hell did I buy this for?" Now after 6 months I do not see how I went with out it? Fair post on your part.

OK,
I have 2 MMs and 2 trunck organizers. When I travel to Michigan for family business (i.e. home repair and improvements), I remove the organizer and put in a big pad to protect the the trunk. My large quantity of tools requires lots of space!!!
The organizer is VERY easy to remove when you need it out. Else, it makes a very ORGANIZED to carry groceries, etc. everyday.

Well worth it-like GordonB said you can lift it right out if you need the extra space. It really keeps all the small stuff in place.

I like mine so much, I took it out of the Crown Vic I traded and kept it for the 'Rauder.

Call Ray AKA "THE DEALER". The latest price is $210 + UPS. You'll have it in a few days. I guess it's not for everyone, but I'm very happy with mine.

That's very misleading. I just bought one, and the UPS fee from Maryland to Virginia was $115 because of the size of the organizer. If "The Dealer" gets a better UPS rate, more power to him! I sure hope he can.

looking at a window sticker the trunk organizer is a $200 option. The info I have says the "invoice" price is $178. So i dont see how they can charge 291 or whatever...

Anything that you buy through the Parts Dept.* will be significantly more than if you bought it with the vehicle...You know the old saying:"If you bought a whole car through the Parts Dept. it would cost $100,000."
*"The Dealer" excluded of course.

They sell it with the car, cheaper than the dealer parts dept pays for it. Ford throws it in the trunk instead of having to pay shipping to send it to the dealer. All this is factored into the parts depts price.

If you have them shipped fedex it costs about half this price I have five trunk organizers for 185.00 each plus shipping these came out of the new FHP cars

Does anyone have any pictures of one? I just bought one out of the accessory catalog. Only covers half of the trunk(?) on the top. Almost bought the PI one that does cover the whole trunk. Is the MM one different?

Same here! I got mine from Ray Sr, AKA The Dealer, and wouldn't be without it. Ray has the best price and you'll have it in a few days. ......good 'ol Ray:nworthy:

BTW, BigDogJim's gonna bring my new Ford GT coil covers (from Ray) along to the Big Bats CAM DOO on Saturday, for show & tell. Where, of course, I'll be wearing my new MM leather jacket for the very first time.

I bought a Lincoln trunk organizer / golf bag caddy. It comes with no lid(s). Since I don't play golf I never use the caddy part. I made two lids from 1/2" MDF covered in black car carpet. Looks good and I can put anything I want on the lids.
