I took my MM in to get it's new rear gear set, and have them install the nifty girdle and stud kit from Wes. They gave me an '04 Town Car to drive until the work's finished. Well y'know how we're kidding about the LM customer base? I was making a turn, and switched on the signal, and after a while I hear "bing - bing- bing". Huh? What the hell was that? Then it did it again, and, turns out, it's a warning chime to remind us OF's to switch the turn signal off!

that is a great. now they need to create a beeping noise to tell slow drivers to get out of the fast lane.

just wondering what the cost of parts and install was on the gear change. thanks

Well then now all is they have to do is come up w/something to get some of the young people to turn off their turn signals when they're done too, as well people on their cell phones (including the motorcyclist I saw several weeks ago talking on his cell phone while driving his rice cycle).

Going to have to check that out tomorrow. Mom and Dad just got an 04 Town Car. I drove it but not in town. This should be fun thanks!!!

The buzzer that reminds OF to change his/her Depends is a bit much, though.

Or somthing to get people to put their signals on. More and more cars have the " Turn signal delete option".

My Crown Victorias have the "bling, bling, bling" thing to remind you to fasten your seats belts. It does it's thing about every 30 seconds......... until you fasten your seat belt, or until you go in and de-program it to stop doing it permanently. I put a new Die Hard 8 year battery in my 2001 Police Interceptor a few weeks ago, just for the hell of it, and the computer reset to default. I had to go in and de-program the "bling, bling, bling" again. It will drive you crazy in default mode. :)

I hope you remember the part about running clockwise around the car three times. stopping at the driver's side headlight and crowing like a rooster, then pushing the reset button six times then ... um, I forgot.

I couldn't AGREE MORE....I'm so tired of IDIOTS driving back and forth, changing lanes, veering off at the last second, ETC. and never using their turn signaLS!! They can drive like a manaic...I don't care, JUST as long as they signal so that I know what they are going to do!!!

Exactly. It is one silly combination of steps in de-programming it.

And you forgot the part about you must be chewing bubble gum while during the step by step procedure. :)
