View Full Version : God's Head Trunk Badge Interest?

wchain

I might have a source for God's Head Trunk Badges to replace the "Flying M" On the trunk of MMs.

Is there any interest in something like this? Looks like people have tried to produce a final product, but nothing came up. I have a OEM Gods Head Badge at my supplier already, and we are going to try to kick around a few prototypes.

I'd be interested...depending on the color.

I don't want too much black in my rear badge as I have a silver MM.

I'd like to see a concept picture first, but I am interested.

I think there is a huge interest. It will take some work, but there was a car in MI that had a "gods head" trunk badge, that was just the circle and the head. We'd also like a grill badge too.

Thanks Wes: The rear is easy:) How about the front also?

I'll check back from time to time:)

wchain,
Yes I'd be interested in 2 badges IF I can remove the Stock hockey sticks with the Spoiler already installed. I may have a BIG clearance problem for removal.

I'd be interested in seeing what the rear badge will look like. I'm getting ready to debadge that area but would rather avoid the expense of repainting if I can get a cool black or other stealthy lookin' one.

I think you can. The pins are at 9 and 3 o'clock and only about half and inch in length. Use a credit card to gently pry it off. You'll have clearance. My .02

I'll be calling a badge house tomorrow to see what they can do. They make everything from metalized labels to full out chromed plastic, really nice work.

I should have an answer later in the week and see if its soemthign people wish to go forward with.

I think I found a place (on the web) to make billet aluminum badges for the front and rear to replace the factory type. The design is going to be the standard diameter with the gods head "floating" inside, kind of like the Cougar badge of the late '80s to early '90s. The initial quote to me was only $40.00 ea.! When I get a finished emblem, I'll post a picture.

They make emblems in polished, brushed, or milled marine grade aluminum finishes. Along with 3M tape applied for placement.
