I want to install the 180 thermostat, Disensio(?) plugs and some other mods to my '04. Can't find any of the parts locally. Anyone have the part numbers and a good place to get them?
Thanks in advance!

Call Dennis Reinhart (supporting vendor on the site) he'll tie all this up + some reprogramming in a Stage One package. You won't be sorry. It's Denso.

he can also give you the part # for the 'stat from NAPA, I am sure there must be a NAPA around you close. They are like chickens--t in a barnyard, they are everywhere :woohoo:

Save your money on the Densos...at $100 for 8 plugs, they're not worth the trouble. All you need is a cooler plug.
Get a set of Motorcraft ASWF12 from your dealer for as little as $20 for the set if they give you the discount. These are difficult to obtain from the local autoparts stores, and they may even tell you the part number is no good.:shake:
The stat is a common item at Napa.
Rienhart can also hook you up with both items.

"Stant" t-stat # 14138 is the 180 degree replacement and I've been real happy w/NGK's TR6 plugs - these are NOT platinum tipped so they will not last as long as platinum but @ $2.30 ea. it's not that big a deal. I like to check them at least once a year anyway!
The TR6's are two steps cooler on the heat range.

Fastblack,
In my view the Densos are worth every penny---they have a larger spark ball and produce more HP-TQ and cut down on the knocking.
The 180 stat. is a must and ................. the SCT hand held programmer for your PCM----you can't use a chip in your car. With all this you will notice
a big difference.
Call Reinhart Automotive ( 904-276-5003 )the vendor on this site.
The owner Dennis has all of the above, is very helpfull and a wealth of information..
Good Luck,

If you just want to improve the car's "normal" street driving performance, then why is it necessary to change to cooler plugs and stat? Isn't that mod more of a track or strip performance issue? For street performance, I have noticed a major difference with just the reflash and 4.10s in my '04 MM.

Howard,
If you want to get the most out of your reflash (ie. SCT tunner etc.)and 410s the 180 stat and Densos IT-20s are a must to get the proper advance you need and be less apt to knock. End result is better street perfromance, HP/TQ and safer for eng. It would round out your pkg.
Also call Dennis R as mentioned in my prior thread. He has parts and lots more info.
Good Luck,
WarrenB
