Are you Supercharged? Just wondering if you have made the move, plan on it, or not interested.
This isn't a popularity contest between brands, or, styles of supercharging, so, play nice, eh?

When my 7 year warranty is gone, I plan on it. If I have the money I'd like to rebuild the engine from the bottom up specifically for supercharging it.
It's just a dream at this point. Most of you probably won't even have your Marauders by the time my warranty is out and I can do it. heh.

I have Dennis Reinhart's first Supercharged Marauder project. Extensive upgrades, too many to list. He signed for my car at the Dealership in Jacksonville Florida when it was shipped there. I was at sea. Thanks Dennis!

I plan on going with a S/C as soon as I am relatively certain I can get by California's smog requirements. I don't want to spend all the $ to put one on just to have DMV say, "Take it off or we won't register your car." That's the reality out here.

I would love to be SC'd and got a great deal on my car, so could have been Supercharged for a total cost of Car+work for only about $30K. Unfortunately as far as I know none of the kits are legal here in this over-regulated state (my brother in law has a beautiful SC'd Cobra and can't legally drive it anymore because it's not smogged.) So, I'm spending the same $ on everything else. About half of it still needs to be installed, but I'm making progress. So far: Metco control arms, quickor front/ rear swaybars, 4:10 gears, TWO tuners (because I didn't ask the right questions and got a 1725 instead of the 9100), TA Stud & Girdle kit, MMX driveshaft, UD pullies, megs delete tips, 180 therm, cooler MC plugs, KB dead pedal, SS inserts, Dynopro pedals and sills, trunk organizer, all weather mats, door guards, silver stars, zaino stuff .
Coming in the next 2-3 months, electric water pump and cobra exhaust system from Dennis. Not sure but will probably just hook up this exhaust to OEM mufflers, as I think Sergnt mac said he only got another 2 RWHP when switching to magnaflows and 2.5" pipe all the way back. Plus with delete tips on it the sound should be just right.
Final pass in 6 months or so, will be to pull the tranny and add the stallion TC, and Dennis's cooling mod and level II tranny work. Also want to get Dennis's aftermarket tranny pan w/ plug and braided cables, as I don't think they come with a the Level II kit.
I have found a great muffler guy and a shop to handle the pullies and gears, so I just need to find a tranny shop that could do the engine cooling / tranny mods for me.
I understand that you guy's that are SC'd don't have to deal with a whole bunch of mods that the rest of us do in pieces, and I think that's cool. In any case, my daily driver should be a lot more fun once I get all this stuff on and configured, even if it isn't SC'd!
Thanks,
Norm

I answered "but someday..."
A supercharger isn't something I think of that often. I enjoy my Marauder every time I drive her since the mods done so far have been so satisfying.
In time I'll complete the build and join the converted. Until then, I'll continue to enjoy the boost vicariously through this site.

Hey! That's fantastic news!!! Congratulations. Wait til U drive it!!!!!!!
I'm in complete agreement! Here's the math:
Go for a ride in the SEMA show Trilogy car with Jerry + credit card in pocket = New Supercharger for MEMA!
Yes, something about pulling out of Trilogy's parking lot on to Michigan avenue sideways puts a three day smile on your face! :drive: Also loved how firm the car shifted into 3rd! (closed road course of course) What a beast! Although I think the stock car is sweet - let's face it the Trilogy does this car justice. Muscle car is a label that isn't easily earned in an age when family cars (Accord V6's) run mid 14's. What I'd like to do is get mine to be able to keep up with a new Corvette (straight line). When MEMA can run 12.8's all day long I will be finished. Although I do realize that I may never race one on the street.
Forget all that BS I just said, I'll never be fast enough until I'm afraid to mat it! The Lingenfelter twin turbo corvette is described as "wretched excess" - that has a nice ring to it. A car that can run 9's is utterly impractical on the street - heck you floor it for more than 3 seconds and your going faster than any posted speed limit! Oh well it's all about fun! We all gotta die someday, so we sure as heck better get as much smile time as possible. I'm all kid on christmas morning thinking about my car with the Trilogy installed. I CAN'T WAIT!!! Jerry said I'll be smoking those stock hides non-stop - oh yeah I will! The one thing that I'm really looking forward to is the part throttle improvements. Having driven a GTP (roots blown v6) I really like low end torque. There's a weak spot in the n/a rauder that makes me feel like I'm doggin along.
Ever since I bought mine a couple months ago it's been very dry in this area. Today there was rain and it was the first time I've been able to get sideways spinning the tires. That's gonna change... :burn:
If I could figure out a way not to have to make a mortgage payment for the better part of a year, I would definitely get a Trilogy setup. Of course, if I tried to slip a SC into the budget, I'm sure that the car would be the only thing I got out of the inevitable divorce! Oh, well, maybe when we win the lottery! :baaa:

I will be superchaging mine with a Pro Charger. My best friend owns Pro Charger here in Kansas City. They have a mustang kit but they did not produce one for the MM because of the limited production. One of there dealers has modified there mustang kits and has a kit for MM.
The new movie comming out with Queen Latifa has a MM with a Pro Charger on it. THe blower is in for looks it is not fuctional.
Take care, Greg

I'd like to hear more about this. It wasn't Pande's Performance was it? I'm not sure where they are located but that's the only shop I've heard of doing a ProCharger MM.
How much for the kit? Does it have an air-air intercooler or air-water? What blower does it use (P1SC, D1SC, F1, etc.)? Does it come complete with bigger injectors & fuel pump upgrades?

Does it come complete with bigger injectors & fuel pump upgrades?I'd be surprised if it came w/an air-to-air intercooler because even though those are supposed to be more effecient than water-to-air ones like the Trilogy and the Reinhart S/Cer kits have, it's my understanding that you need more space for the air-to-air exchanger itself, and I don't think the marauder has the kind of room under the hood that it would require to work properly. The heat exchangers for those require a lot of air to pass through them. So you need a lot of open space under the hood. Which is why a lot of small ricer type engines are good candidates for an air-to-air intercooler. While it's true that the overall space that's required for an air-to-air intercooler might even be a bit less than an air-to-water one, because you don'y have plumbing hoses and a waterpump for the air-to-air system, from what I'm hearing, what space that is required for the air-to-air set-up is mostly needed allin one space for the heat exchanger itself. And most V8 engines don't leave that much room in the engine compartment.
So if the S/Cer kit in question DOES have an air-to-water intercooler, then the important thing would be that it also has all the hoses included, as well as a waterpump, and some concise installation instructions. And don't take the latter for granted and just assume that it does. I know someone who just bought a turbo kit for his foreign car, and the manufacture of that kit doesn't even include installation instructions!!!! Buyer beware......

This isn't a popularity contest between brands, or, styles of supercharging, so, play nice, eh?I Don't have a S/C yet. The cost is a little too rich for me right now. When I can justify the expense (or I figure out a creative way to pay for it), then the hell with the warranty, I will get a Trilogy S/C kit, based on all of the terrific things I've read about the Trilogy product. But for shear good looks, you can't beat the really cool looks of the S/C that is installed in the Kenny Brown Marauder S package. It looks awsome, with the polished aluminum and/or stainless steel + all the blue hoses/connectors. I know, you don't drive good looks. You drive maximum performance!

Looks are in the eye of the beholder. I say that because my opinion is (and I've heard others voice the same) that the Eaton roots type S/Cer looks the best. I will not dispute which type of system creates better power since MAC did NOT intend for this to become a "Which supercharger is better" thread, and so far we've been able to avoid that here, which I think is great. I just wanted to add that I've alwys thought the S/Cers that sit on top of the engine look cool!!!!
