It was bound to happen to me one of these days.

Let me start by saying that I know my nearby territory like the back of my hand. If there is a usual place for the LEO's to hide I know it. Tie that it with my slight farsightedness and I am typically a very hard fast-mover to snag.

Last weekened I was getting on the strip of highway near my house and decided to start my day off right. I took Moses right up to 85 when my V1 starting chirping like a bird.

Just then I saw the State officer IN A NEW SPOT. He was only about 3/4 of a mile down the road on the right hand side.

Needless to say, I was very, very surprised.

As I went past him I have him a nice 2 finger wave. He gave me a knowing nod. He kept on clocking other cars and I kept on motoring. It was a beautiful thing.

The rest of that day continued as smoothly as it started.

Ahh, the Marauder goodness. I love it. My guess is that ticket would have equalled two months of car payments. :)

Why not just spend less than $300 and become immune to lidar?

Like, er, some folks on here have done.

If you are referring to a LIDAR jammer, I might do that. LIDAR is no where near as prevalent here as it is in some places. When its use grows I will make the investment.

Lidar is the laser system ct troopers use, and many other states use as well. The zr3 laser shifter by escort (which i have) jams the lidar signal, so your speed cant be read, until you click the mute button and the jamming stops. Hopefully you only hit that button when your traveling at the posted limit!!!!

Hey Dan, tweeters sells that unit for $300. You may want to pick it up for piece of mind. It saved my butt many times.

Be careful. Any means to overcome a radar/lidar device is not foolproof. In the scenario at the beginning of the thread, the Trooper could have issued a citation if the lidar worked or not. If the posted speed is being exceeded to a large degree, I have known Judges to go with the Officers visual estimate of the speed. A visual estimate is also part of the verification process when operating radar/lider.
Just my $.02.

Too bad you weren't on your Private Track.

What's the two-finger wave... is that "recognized"?

Usually people only wave one finger at me....

Glad you ducked it!
