Wrapping up the sale of my car this week. The new owner might come around this site, I'm sure you will welcome him in to the family. About a year ago, I posted a thread about I was wondering if others were modding their cars, just to keep up their interest in it. I never really liked the car too much, and tried to overcome my dislike by adding things to the car. I ended up doing to my 2003 300B Black MM:
Reinhart fuel filter
4.10 gears
SVO girdle & studs
SS Bumper Inserts
working guages
A-pillar guages
Sirius Radio
Alpine Speakers all around
NGK plugs
180 stat
Lidio chip
Kook's Headers and magnaflow exhaust
Steeda underdrive pullies
I experimented with Nitrous for a week or two and then sold that separately
The car is super clean and scratch free, only has 19,000 miles.
I ordered a torque converter, cooling mod, and tranny upgrade kit from Dennis, who was SUPER enough to allow me to return it for a refund (thanks again Dennis).
I nearly had my rear wheels widened, and was ready to get some wider tires..
Thanks to all for the great info found on this site, it is by far the best website for any car that I have ever seen, good job Logan and all.
I now have an Infiniti FX35 totally loaded, DVD, navigation, laser cruise control, keyless system, has every option available, and I will probably be adding Baer brakes and a supercharger to it before long. It is AWD and a little higher step in height than a car which is really what I wanted to have all along.
Bye all!! thanks. I sold it for only $20,500... very sad resale value.

Hey, as far as I'm concerned, you're still welcome here just as long as you aren't here to bash Marauders. And I'm sure that w/you that isn't the case. BTW, how much did your new vehicle cost you? I just want to compare. And what color is it?

Marauders are like Elvis and Tupac... they are dead, but people still see them around! just kidding, not a basher.
The FX35 listed for $49,000
I paid $43,000 ($1,000 under invoice this time of year) I got the bright silver with black interior. there is such a difference in quality and feel... but to each their own. I was pretty set on getting a volvo s60r 6 speed, but just did not want to get a "car", wanted a higher ride height but did not want a full blown SUV, still wanted to get good gas mileage.. the Lexus RX330 was in the running as well, but I think those are ladies cars.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is an FX35 ? The name and price suggests japanese product...am I right ?It's an Infinity crossover (meaning its a blend of a car and SUV.) I seriously considered the FX45 for a time. The number designation is the displacement, i.e. 35 = 3.5 L six, 45 = 4.5 L V8

BTW, there's a procharger kit available for the FX35:

 Congrats on getting a nice car and the one you really wanted.
When I see them on the road they remind me of my uncle's '51 Nash Bathtub sedan. That was a cool car and so is yours.

Hmmmm......I didn't know what a FX35 was either but I've seen a bunch of those things in the previous pix and don't like them!! ;)
The combination of a chopped off station wagon and too tall "Gangsta Wheels" really turns me off!! :dunno: :loco:
Someone told me the V8's are pretty quick....still UGLY!!

Someone who would trade an MM for a vehicle like that, was probably never meant to have an MM in the first place. Crossover SUVs are a little too feminine for my tastes and I think the FX is one of the most hideous vehicles out there, right up there with the Aztek and Element.
As many have said, to each his own. :beatnik:

That's true. The MM probably had too may 'square' lines for his taste from the beginning.

dareben, enjoy your new "car". And as others have said, don't be a stranger. I wonder if you looked at the Volvo XC70, since you said you liked the S60.
