Took the Marauder autocrossing today to test the lowered suspension.

Crouched at the line.

Very nice wesman.

How she handle?

Those tires look sticky!

It handles pretty good now. The tires are Hoosier A3S04 225/45/17s. They are the stickiest money can buy for autoX.

What cars are you going against, when I had my SHO I was always up against the Ford Probes, it was hard to compete with those little gocarts

There was only one other car in my class, it was a modified civic driven by a dumbass. My addcos showed up at work today.

wesman,

Looks like your having some great fun out there. Hoosiers are the tire for autocross. The right tires alone are good for shaving off several seconds. Have you figured out the correct tire pressure to keep off the sidewalls yet?

The Addco's and upgraded rear control arms will be a world of help to get you out of the corners keeping the rear-end still behind you. A front brake upgrade would be the next thing on my list to haul the beast down into the corners properly. The old saying in autocross is you've got to slow down to go fast.

Thanks for the advice. I will have to slap a set of 275 & 305s on it next year in order to get some speed happening. I was running 44psi front and rear, no rollover. I am considering a big brake upgrade but for now I just ordered KVR pads from Dennis. When I am out there on the course, the brakes actually grab way better than I thought. The thing that slows me down the most is the transmission. When I put the throttle down it lumbers through second for a bit before grabbing first. Then the wheelspin starts. I guess the SCT tuner will help with that. I wish the bars had been on there, the UPS guy showed up at my place 20mins after I left Friday afternoon, so had to tell him Monday.
