2004 MM production totals broket out by color and options

I have an 2004 Red with Birch int., cd changer and heated seats. If I read this right mine is 1 of only 270 produced. It's rare to own a car today like the MM with such low production totals.

Let me know if you think these number are correct.

Does anybody know if June of 2004 was the last month of production? That's when my MM was built.

Yes, I'd like to know how many were loaded - couldn't be too many as they didn't come with the moon roof until after January of this year - irc

Blue is 328 but they were only made in 2003.

With the numbers posted here, your one of 270 that are DTR with heated seats. You could narrow it down more if you knew how many of those are charcoal or light flint interior.

How do you figure? 448 Silver Birch with Flint interior. 332 of the 448 have the CD player. 304 of the 448 have the heated seats. The two numbers can overlap. No flame intended, just pointing something out.

We will not have a legitimate number until we know how many had moon roofs. I'm curious as to why that option was not included into the build numbers. :confused:

Moon Roofs were a late add on option.
They were not available from the start of the 04 Model Year build.
If we can get the numbers, they will probably be small.

NPLM.com still has 33 as of today.. i guess they sold one in the last few weeks. so take your pic if you are still shopping for a 04.

Look at the numbers again. Some of the CD cars can have heated seats and vice-versa. The numbers overlap. You can't just subtract one from the other.
We have no way of knowing how many Silver Birch/Flint cars had the CD player and did NOT have heated seats.

King Fubar definitely has 1/144 cars that were made WITHOUT HEATED SEATS, wouldn't you agree ???

So if the CD Changer comes into play, that would only REDUCE the number of cars with these option combinations to less than 144, correct ?
But with the data we have TODAY, it is fair to say that King Fubar is pretty accurate until we get some more comparisons.

Here is a small observation.

in black cars with flint interiors 68% have heated seats.
in dtr with flint 68% have heated seats.
in silver with flint 68% have heated seats.

SO 68% of all flint interiors have heated seats evenly distributed across colors.

The same does not hold true for charcoal interiors.

Black 82%
DTR 89%
Silver 84%

I thought flint might have a lower % of heated seats based on the unsubstantiated thought that flint would be more popular in the hotter climate areas and less likely to need heating.

That makes too much sense for marketing to actually apply it to a car.
