I just left Lidio's shop from having my 410's and chip installed. I am so happy to have my gears and chip in this one. It actually feels livlier than the 03' I had. My thanks to Lidio and his staff. Also I ran into "JET" there. It was nice seeing him again. I hope he had a safe return to Philly. By the way, this will conclude my mods until I get my Trilogy setup.

Way to go, slim...I can see your silly grin all the way from here!
*sigh*...I wish I lived closer to MI...I'd have a Trilogy right now...
(Before any of you start yelling "Road Trip!", I hate driving long distances...and I hate being a passenger for long distances even worse...)

Congrats on the new mods for your new Silver MM. You just have to rub that your getting a Trilogy in all of our faces now don't you. :P Enjoy the car. :burnout:
RF: why not have Mary Drive it and you fly in and meet her there. That way you dont have to deal with beeing a passenger or driver.

Hey Slim...
Will you be coming down to Nowalk Raceway on the 11th with all your boys from Michigan?? I hope to see you there! Congrats on the mods!
Now...since we've both got the exact same performance mods... 4.10's and chip...will you be up for a few friendly races??
:duel:
Talk to you soon...and can't wait to see your new ride!

I may be working in Chicago for a few months.
What was the total package price for the work and parts you had Lidio do?
Gears, Chip, Labor...?
Thanks,
David

(Before any of you start yelling "Road Trip!", I hate driving long distances...and I hate being a passenger for long distances even worse...)I hate driving long distances also. I happen to live about 12 hours away from MI but that didn't stop me from getting my Marauder Trilogized. If you're not into working on cars and you don't want to install it yourself like I did, you can always have a local garage perform the Installation. With that installation manual that the Trilogy kit comes with, they can't go wrong, and no special tools are needed. It would probably cost you less $$ for labor too since the labor charge that Lidio gets includes a $300 custom dyno tune. Sure having it done by Lidio would be ideal, but it isn't mandatory by any means, since the chip that comes w/the Trilogy kit is burned by Lidio anyway.
BTW, Bigslim, way to go!!! You picked a nice gear ratio. The 4.10 gear ratio is the best compromise for both the street and strip. And I've had the 3.55's, 4.10's and the 4.56's in my car.

I talked to Dave and maybe I will come down. If I come you got yourself a race buddy. By the way, I noticed this car is faster than the blk one with the 410's. Today I hit it and the backend started coming around me. I love it. It also lays rubber a lot longer than the 03 did. Thank you Lidio.

I keep hearing about how nice the 4.10's are. What did it cost you? Thanks.

I can't really quote a price. I had the chip from my last car and reprogramed it. I also had the gears from the raffle I won from Reinhart. Give him a call. Sorry I couldn't really help.

I keep hearing about how nice the 4.10's are. What did it cost you? Thanks.A new ring & pinion gear set costs $180-$200, and if you have the installation performed by someone else, the labor charges vary from $200-$600. You'll feel some extra pep off the line, but don't think it's going to be a night and day difference nor transform your car into a rocketship. It's a good bang for the buck considering that the "buck" being sacrificed is merely several hundred dollars. When it comes to high performance, you only get what you pay for. And don't think that it's a good idea to install the gears w/out getting a chip or an SCT handheld tuner. they go together. I tried changing the gears w/out the chip, and it yielded nothing on a Marauder.
