Just curious, who here has the most miles on their MM?
I have 58.5K and add 120 every business day. I have owned my car since late april '03. It drives from New Britian CT to the sub base in Groton (60Mi) daily (unless I am out to sea) and has been from New Britian to Omaha NE twice and to VA beach Va twice.
I have been happy to get increased power and fuel mileage with age, what have other people observed?

A sales engineer that deals with my company had 80K miles on his 2003 300A before he replaced it. He did not have a single problem with it. Sadly, he turned it in for a Buick Lesabre. :puke:
Mine has only 8,000 miles.

In the Auto trader, there's one with 78k. there's another in Orlando with 61k. Several months ago I saw one in TX with 90k.
Just my .02 and then some.

Exactly my point from a while back, Royal, it's the perfect road car. They could have called it the Turnpike Cruiser.:drive:

Ditto...where ya been at? :D Didn't you only have like 46k back in April?
I'm pushing about 18k and since I don't drive it as much anymore, even less.

To those who noticed (thanks) I was gone from MM.net for awhile because I recently transferred from sea duty to shore duty and in the process I bought a house, and home internet was "dropped" from the budget. However, now that I am settled into my new office job I have time to mess around here while I should be working :cool4:
Also, Yeah I did have 46K in april, I just love to use the MM, even (or especially) over the wifes 3.8L mustang (nice car for the money, just not powerful or comfortable)

I need to post here to apologize to my wife who took offense to my "bashing" of her mustang. It is actually fun to drive, and a good looking machine. I'd just rather take the MM.
Sorry to all Mustang owners (especially the one I am married to)

Stacking on the miles is exactly why I changed from 20 years of experience with BMW to a Crown Vic. I put 100K miles on my 99 and switched to a 2002 CV LX Sport which now has 42,000 miles. I wanted a Marauder but with the way I accumulate miles (about 40,000 per year) I could nit justify it.

Don, I almost bought an LX Sport, and it was just luck Barb & John found our MM sitting on a dealer's lot in Hanover, PA. They had it since Dec, and by Aug, when we found it, were ready to give make a super deal. The Ford dealer would match the $24K but not beat it. What could I do? I understand your 100K rule, and it makes sense, but there are MMs on dealer lots at terrific prices. :twocents:

I was considering both the MM and the CV LX Sport. Drove the CV first, then the MM. No comparison in my mind regarding the interior appointments and the overall "feel" of the MM and CV. Advantage MM. :D

That is sad. From a Marauder to a LeSabre. He must not have been an enthusiast.

I was a victim of the oft mentioned axle failure issue. The differential is making some noise now I'm guessing from an impending pinion bearing failure. Probably had some shrapnel left in the housing from the axle/bearing problem. New pinion bearings, carrier bearings, axle bearings, and clutches are going in Thursday. Other than that, no major mechanical issues. I attribute a lot of that to Dennis Reinhart's expertise in tweaking the tuning to accomodate my right foot which is 99% lead & 1% upsydaisium. :burnout:
