Moaning and Groaning

Welp all my moaning and groaning finally paid off tonight!! :banana: :burnout: I went to cecil county raceway tonight with the MM after waiting for 1 1/2 hour (due to junk yard refugees) it was my turn .went thru the water and smoked them a little (get em nice and hot) .next to me was a stang 90 lx w/ drag radials.we both line up tree goes down and he red lighted , my car took off with very little spin ran great was pulling ahead of the stang until the end and he beat me by a hair.The MM ran the best it ever did ..I 'm happy :D BillGman get that scanner ready the copy is in the mail!!

Alright Mark!!! I knew you would do better than your previous time of 13.1 because of the cooler air, but I didn't think you would run a 12.4!!!! What a great run!!!! I'm assuming that you took the air pressure down in your back tires. If I'm correct, then how low did you take it? I cannot believe how much time you shaved off of your last ET!!! What changes have you made to your car since your 13 second run? I'm thinking that it's either that, or you encountered a lot of wheelspin last time around.

You know i was going to take out the air cause i saw a mustang behind me doing it but i didn't feel like looking for that thing to take off the gods heads valve caps .so i left it alone..and sine that run (the one i posted)the t/c was installed and the mezeire water pump and mufflers..must've been the cold air.when the lady at the end handed me my slip i thought that knucklehead gave me the wrong slip until i pulled up to my kids and they were like dad you did a 12.4 .so i called that poor lady a name for nothing..so now to get the rims widened and a dennis tune and a pulley change and we'll see what she does...

It looks like the stang had a 1/2 second jump on you so I wouldn't feel too bad about being beat by a hair. The timeslip shows who really won that race. :D

12.4 seconds on the OEM tires? Wow, very impressive. Is the rest of the exhaust stock?

What would you suggest MAC? I don't think that I can even do any better w/slicks on the car since my Nittos were hooking up perfectly, and w/out any wheelspin at all back in June. I'm sure I can get into the very high 11's now because of the colder air. but even if I did, I really wouldn't bother posting my times in the 11's since it would only be accomplished w/my car if the outside temperature was in the 40's or 50's. The 12.2's that I accomplished were in 70 degree whether, so that's where I'll leave my posted times at.
