Ok, so some of you will probably not like this, but I love the old GMs and this was one thing that I could do that I think no one else has done yet. It kind of makes the car look old fashioned in a way but I like the result.

What I did was add a hood ornament from a 2005 Grand Marquis to the grill of my 03 MM. I saw the ornament on a car on a dealer lot and thought it would add a nice touch. The 2005 GMs in two-tone have this same ornament in the same place on the grill. The ornament was about $58 from the dealer, which included all mounted hardware. I just had to drill the hole and cut the keyways at the correct angle, little challenge but not bad.

I think it would look the absolute best on a badgeless grill someday.

There are better pics in my gallery also.

Cool!

That was my first thought also.....it would look great on a badgeless grill!

Customize your Marauder the way you want....remember....you have to drive it!!!

Looks sharp

Okay, it is true that not everyone will like this treatment; and, as 5-O notes, it's your ride.

Because of aerodynamics you just lost 20 mph off your top end. Just kidding!!! As long as you like it, we like.

Hmmm...

Let's see...

Well...Chrome grille trim...Flying 'M' ornament.

Nope, I don't like it. I don't like it one bit.

Part of this car's style lies in the simple, quiet, uncomplicated statements of power and function. The wheels and tires say function, the dual chrome exhaust tips say power. I won't be doing this to my car because they say, "left turn signal might have been on for a lane change that was made two miles back", aka. "this is your grandpaw's car, and he just thinks he's got the 'big engine' option." Yeah, you need curb feelers and mud flaps front and back and maybe you can get a body shop to make you up some fender pants to cover up half of your rear wheels. Has sombody mentioned fins?
I'm kidding, it's your car man. Have fun.

I installed my hood ornament in June 2003. The blue one was stolen and has been replaced by the crystal one--I have hood ornaments on all my '92+ Marquis--old fighter pilot needs crosshairs. Congrats--looked at the ornament---don't have a "waterfall" logo on my Marauder. Enjoy, Maury

Like everyone else said, do your own thing  . If we all had the same idea's about everything; man, this would be a boring world. :)

Not to my taste ... but to each his own. :D

For me, the slick front was part of the appeal and sytle of the Marauder. I don't want it to look like another GM .... and I am seriously considering going badgeless to get rid of those silly 'hockey sticks' on the grill.

I grew up in the age of hood ornaments when they seemed to get bigger, thicker, and wider every year. The only one that I ever liked was the lighted Pontiac Indian head (around '57-58??)
