Brought in the MM for the 30K maintenance and pointed out the Head Lite Lens was cloudy. (It has been that way since I bought it new.)

The SA said there a TSB about it and they won't replace it, wait here and I will show you the picture. (The previous time I came in for service the SA showed it to me, the car was so dirty you could not really see it, I explained it to him and he said you still have time on your warranty to keep an eye on it. This time the car was clean and it was easy to see the cloudy lens.)

I said I am familiar with the non-sealed beam moisture TSB. This is not a moisture issue. The clear coat on the inside of the lens is failing, eventually it will become opaque, it is a safety issue because it is impacting my head lites illumination and I understand there is a TSB on this clear coat failure.

The SA said I will submit it and see, sure enough they are replacing it under warranty. :)

I have the Stage II Trans, PI Stall and Deep B&M pan. I advised her the B&M trans pan holds extra quarts to charge me accordinglyfor the trans service.

The Tech noted "hard 1-2 shift, has after market TQ". :burnout:

Mine is being replaced Friday...moisture only...they ordered one light put in the assembly but said it had the wrong connection...they said the connection had changed and they failed to see the heads up about having to order the connection that would allow them to install...I do not understand why your guys will not replace the light...my guy said they replace them all the time...no questions at all...anyway they also got a alignment machine for our wheels...first one in my county...so it is getting aligned also...willie

My right headlight assembly was replaced two weeks ago under warranty, due to exterior hazing caused by lack of clear coat, causing ultra violet hazing of the plastic lens. Be polite and be persistant, things will happen!

Belive it or not Ford sets guiedlines for how much dealers spend on warranty claims. There seems to be a trend the dealers that spend the most of Ford's money get the highest satisfaction scores "Go Figure". Be persistant if they don't/ won't help,:help: try elsewhere.Maybe the other dealer won't be way over thier warranty budget.

My passenger side light assembly had the same problem and was replaced no questions asked. It was obvious the coating was peeling off and could be felt easily. Gather it's not the first time they have run into this.

Go somewhere else or ask for a ford rep. Had the same problem and they are finally replacing after a few visits and a lot of yelling

My passenger side headlight was replaced under warranty last week---moisture had remained in the light for over 10 days. Has anyone else noticed that it appears to be mostly passenger side lights that have been replaced ????
