curse-word detector

Hey LML...in your new function as co-moderator, is there a reason the bad language detector needs to be on in PMs? I can certainly see it being there for public posts, but on private messages?

Not that I can't speak without swearing, but gosh darn it all to heck...

Hmm... well, I really have no controll over the software integrated into this site, but my guess would be this: You can PM ANYONE on this site, thus still making it here say "public" to someone who may not know you very well and take offense to you. I stretch I know, but hey... "If you can't say something nice, then maybe you shouldn't say anything at all!" LOL, JP! If you REALLY want to by-pass it, just do a couple *** in the word and they'll get what you're saying. Just like the miss spelled word thing, we all can figure it out. ;)
