:woohoo: I just became a MM owner yesterday! I've always loved the MM and my wife and I have been wanting one ever since we saw the concept at the Dallas Auto Show in March 2002. It is a `03 300B (with map pockets, oddly enough) with only 768 miles for the low, low price of $24k. It even still has the alluring aroma of plastic off-gassing (a.k.a. new car smell). The car is perfect inside and out, and Carmax has warrantied it for the next 100k miles. :woohoo:
While I'd love to mod the car, we are most likely keeping it stock during the warranty period as we already have a project car or two and must keep our priorities straight. However, I'll be reviewing the forums in depth, now, and any suggestions or heads up would be appreciated.
Are there any other MM owners in the TX Panhandle? I'd love to meet others in the MM community and get to know more about these truly wonderful vehicles.
Thanks for this forum and all those who contribute to it!

Congratulations on your new baby--my smile has lasted 18 months 32,000 miles and is still there. Sorry we are not closer, but you are welcome any time you are down this way--just send me a personal message if you are coming and we will try to set up a little group activity for you. I f you have the front seat pockets, the in-dash clock, locking fuel door, traction control and the small spare, you have a rare MM---what we call a "transition" car---has all the "A" features plus traction control---check the manufacture date---should be early Nov'02. Let us know---there are about a dozen of these we know of. Spend some time reading the threads-if you need info--do a search for the subject--if you don't find it, start a thread and someone will be there to help you. Enjoy your new MM and don't be a stranger to the web site--we have alot of fun. Maury

Stevengerard,
I'm not originally from Texas -- I just live and work here now.
Cruzer,
Thanks for the heads-up on the transitional models. I just went outside and looked at the sticker: Nov 02. It has all the features you mentioned, so it must be one of these rare transitionals. How are these designated, 300A/B?
Oddly enough, I used to live in Hurst but moved to Amarillo this summer for my new work. I am in DFW fairly often, however, and will let you know when I'm next going to be in town. Perhaps I could meet some of the other MM owners if it's convenient for everybody...
BTW, last night driving back from Carmax, my wife and I were racing her 96 Roadmaster wagon (which I was driving at the time) and the MM (which she was seriously trying out for the first time). While I had a lot of fun and gave her a run for her money, she lost me around one of the area lakes thanks to the MM's handling. I tried it out myself this morning and was blown away by how well it took those curves!! WOW!!!
Thanks for all of the help, everyone.
