I just purchased my 2003 MM about 3 weeks ago, after selling my SLP Firehawk. I chose the MM for several reasons. For one, I needed something that would be easy for my baby's car seat and at the same time wanted something safe and sporty, and let's not forget rear wheel drive and a V8. Not too many cars out there with all these "must have" requirements, and I have to admit, the MM looks bad a** too. The MM has everything, and it's ALMOST perfect. The only thing I wish was different is the HP. A bit more would have been great, but thanks to the Cobra, we have alot of options in terms of getting more HP. As for safety and reliability, I don't thing anything out there can touch it. I am a Police Officer and have drivencrwn Vic's for the past 7 years and I just got a 2005 last week. These cars are put through torture everyday. Sometimes I keep mine on for the entire 10 hour shift in the South Florida heat and sun, and the car seems not to mind at all. As for safety, I've seen a bunch of fellow officers in accidents, and they have all been slightly or not injured at all,,can't say the same for the other drivers. So let the other GM guys talk and put the MM down, cause I know for a fact that those old SS's/Cap. Class. could never outlast the MM's, both in safety and reliability. One more thing, it's geat to be able to find such a site like this one, where one can find almost any answer to any question about the MM.

Raul,

Great to hear and welcome to the family. My wife (Ladyhawke) and I also have SLP Firehawk, its her car the Marauder is mine, and she loves it. Our Firehawk is a 2002 #700, what year and number was your's. Sorry to hear that you sold it, but glad to hear that you replaced it with a Marauder. I also traded in my WS6 for the Marauder and do not regret it at all. Happy Maraudering.

Hey Dvader, I too am an Officer (in Washington State) you know, one of the most liberal states in the Nation. Anyway I also recently purchased an 03 and am very pleased with the results. After having driven the Crown Vic's in service the last five years I knew The MM was a solid proven platform. I love this thing.
I also have a 66 Nova station wagon that runs 10.90's @ 125 on 8" street tires through the mufflers, but I think I'm really gonna enjoy flogging the Merc on the street.

Welcome. Another cop huh? My patrol car is a 1997 CV. Just turned 90,000 last weekend and have not had any major problems. (My plastic intake hasn't even leaked) We have take home cars; maybe that's the secret for long life and high mileage.ffice:office" /><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com />
<P style=
I owned a 1995 Impala SS and was issued our first 1994 Caprice with the LT1. Those cars were great, but have been eclipsed by the MM, in my opinion. I like the "squarer" lines of the CV/MM.

P.S. I beat you by six weeks.

There are 4 of us LEO's in Vegas that bought MM's. 5 police employees if you count the one civilian employee too. I (we) all love them and wouldn't get anything else. You can not beat them for drivability and durability in a crash. But them, that's why we are all here...Sales pitch over.

I got my MM because with my 04 GTO I couldnt pick up my parents, a wheelchair ect... when they come to visit. Also, this car is much more comfortable and plenty quick for me without mods. Another Fed LEO by the way here in Dallas.
