The MM comes off the road at the end of November, and doesn't get touched again until the spring. I live in a condo where I'm lucky enough to have heated underground storage. I am in need of a car cover for the MM. Does anyone have suggestions, brands, prices for me? Thanks,

-Mat

Unless you're worried about mice (drive in bag) a couple of clean bed sheets works just fine in that environment. They've done the job for Sunshine the past eleven years.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I'll look into them. When I think back to Marauderville 2, there was someone that had a black car cover with "marauder" on it in the hotel parking lot. If anyone remembers who this was, let me know so I can contact them. I might be interested in getting that car cover. The bed sheets are simple and cheap, unfortunately the people who park their cars down there complain about things that look out of place. More suggestions always welcome. Thanks,

Matt, that would be N40GL that had the car with the cover on it. Also, Jerry Barnes has the same cover. You can contact him about it.

mpearce,
Suggest you contact The Dealer (NE LM) for a GENUINE Ford MM cover. Run about $100 (?). Supposedly fits great.

Do not forget about California Car Cover. They make covers specifically for each customer's application. They also do embroidery.

I have had several of their covers for years and could not be happier with them.

Remember to never cover a dusty or a dirty car. Keep wax on your car and never let the paint become dry. A dry car causes scratches and damage to occur quickly when using a cover.

There are/were 2 part numbers out there for the car cover. They discontinued one because of troubles with it. The bad one is 2W3Z-19A412-BA. Supposedly the good...better cover is 2W3Z-19A412-CA. Both are listed at FordParts.com, BA for $183.26 and the "CA" cover is $217.13

I still use the factory cover for almost 2 years but have learned many things about how to use a cover and what works. The MM ford cover is like a parachute cover and resist rain and moisture like a champ, but under windy conditions it balloons thus allowing a slapping motion against the car. I have overcome this issue by using a second undercover that is heavier and softer material. I also replaced the supplied factory thin nylon cord with a Marine grade heavy-duty nylon cord that allows me to keep the cover tight and resist heat from the exhaust pipe. Also the black sleek look of the cover fades rapidly within the first year of sunlight to a light brown.

I ordered one from Ray and it is great a nice tight and snug fit. It even has "MARAUDER" embroided on it. Just remember it keep the cover clean and off the ground.

How about posting the different makes of car covers with price, features, etc. With Christmas coming up, I would be interested in the information. Have any of you had problems with scratching, and if not, what is the inside lined with that keeps the paint from getting scratched during surface contact. I would like the protection the cover can offer, but I'm still on the fence reference the purchase decision.

Thanks
